You seriously think he plays a day to day part in the running and management of the NOTW? News International is a massive company... it's the mass media and public as usual looking for a "name" culprit. Look, a guy with money, quick, he must have known, must have been deliberate....
It's like the Baby P incident - public and media clamour to blame the person in overall charge. The social workers on the ground who repeatedly f***ed up? Nah, salt of the earth working class people, not their fault at all...
It's entirely feasible people up to a certain level knew what was going on. Question is, how far up the chain did it go? I'd be surprised if Murdoch Sr was involved or knew.
