WHICH POLITICAL PARTY DO YOU "LIKE"?

Sun Jul 17, 2011 4:30 pm

I'm just interested to see who everyone likes/supports.

Like/support may be the wrong words as politicians arent very trustworthy, if at all.

But for me its Labour. I have my reasons.

(This may start a big debate :D )

Sorry if the party of your choice isn't on there but they were the only ones i could think of

(I know Plaid Cymru can't win it but if they get a certain amount of seats I think they can call a referendum to make wales independant)

Anyone care to explain why? :D

For me its mainly what Carwyn has done for Wales, IMO a good job considering Wales is the poorer country out of - Scotland, NI and England.

I'm sure Willy will have plenty to say :D :ayatollah:

Labour has f*cked up this country so much in the past ten years, and its madness to think anybody can support them in the next election, especially with Ed Milliband at the helm.

How so? (I've never really gave a shit until politics until late).

As far as I'm aware Labour provided jobs, theres was big construction projects going on, infastructure projects etc.

Massive spending and massive debt - economic crisis wouldnt be as bad

Ineffective big government - to much spending in the wrong places

Huge immigration, open borders have let thousands of immigrants in (im not racist its true)

Ineffective economic policies - spending and spending

NHS and education system has become a monolpoly - its become bigger, costs more and is less effective

No referendum to join the European Union - membership cost millions of £ a day

Allister Darling signed us up for the European bailout agreement - billions spend and more to come

Welfare State massive change under the Labour, its huge and massively ineffective - should only be given to those who are looking for jobs or unable to work at all

I could go on and on :D Its hard for Conservatives to make the cuts and changes to the NHS and welfare state because Labour made it such a big part of out country, utterly stupid imo

Communist Party.

Back in Eastern Europe when they were under communism everyone knew where they stood. People had their house, they were given a job to contribute to the community and country and because of the fact they were given jobs people respected each other more. Now, people compete, try and scam each other to work their way to the top of the career ladder and so on, respect all goes out the window.

Too many people out of work when under communist rule they'd be given something to do, no matter how small it was. You didn't have people getting in massive amounts of debt because people spent on what they could afford.

I'd much rather a communist state that knows what its on about than a party claiming to be democratic but constantly swaying towards communism anyway. Every day in Britain things are becoming more censored, we're having our lives more controlled or being watched whether its walking through a city centre or driving. Now they want to censor the internet to stop us doing more things which just as it has done in China, will affect the UK's economy.

The UK is not a democracy and never ever will be. In a democratic state those within the state should have a say in every matter thats brought up, this doesn't happen. Its only a democratic state in terms of whom we elect every 4 years. As soon as power is gifted to a party then we are back under a dictatorship style of ruling. We didn't get a say in tuition fees, we were ignored. We didn't get a say in the public sector cuts, we were ignored. Why? Because there is no democracy.

Communism is good. People know where they stand and know their purpose in life. Thats why 1 in 3 bulgarians want communism back. Now whilst thats only ~33% of the population, thats a lot considering the population is very young and a lot of the people won't remember living under communist rule.

i prefer communism aswell, but you'd need EVERYONE in the country to want it in order to work. People want equality then communism is the answer, however labour are my alternative as communism will have to wait a while. :ayatollah:

Bloody hell you are blinkered if you think communism is the answer. The vast majority lived in squalor and poverty. Order was restored by brutal means. The only positive was no one was allowed to leave and head for these shores and live like Kings and Queens on our Benifits. I knew we had a lot of Commies on this board but that confession is shocking.
Communism looks good on paper but in reality its oppressive Evil and has no place in the modern world.Image

I agree, communism has never and will never work. The rich get richer and the poorer get poorer.

Communism is only good for the ones in power ;)

there it is again   i think it would suit our country but it wont work simply cause everyone doesnt agree with it, in the fucked up commie countries they pretty much forced people into communism, that would never happen in this country as we are strongly with the UN, we are constantly nagging china regarding the inhumane law or what ever its called and our Armed Forces would never turn on the people.

communism is an ideal, it would be great if it would work, but it doesnt as people are greedy and they dont see each other as equal.

the "communism" practiced by states like the GDR or USSR is an absolute no no for me, altho I cant ignore my left of centre political leaning...

btw, if I'd still live in Wales and could vote, it would have been PLAID... why? Cos I believe they care for Wales, stand for a Welsh culture, want more independance for Wales and care about this country first with a good social element. They might not be perfect, but show me a political party that is...

Lets just wait and see if, "famine, labour camps, executions would never happen in this country! the un would go ape shit and no one in the country bar the Armed Forces have the balls to do it and the Armed Forces wouldnt do it cause they are pretty much fighting for the country erm sorry queen." is true. I somehow doubt it, and that if the order came, the people taught and controlled to take and accept orders to kill people already, would do it.

How is Labour so highly rated? what have they done for Wales? Diddly squat that's what.

We have gone backwards as a nation in Wales under Labours Administration and no one seems to care.

I'm reading a book about North Korea at the moment, it is shocking. A man is sent to a labour/slave camp indefinetly because he said he was hungry - his wife had died from starvation three days earlier.
Communism as an ideal sounds great, but it has never never worked and I would never trust it to work in the future.

You people are nuts about communism, it is very pretty on paper and sounds awesome. Simple fact is, it has never and will never work without oppression. You ask an East German in the 70s how awesome it is.............

If everyone has the same thing you end up with inertia due to laziness

For all you Labour fans, get real, they are not the party of Jobs they are the party of debt. If they were still in power we would be working out how much of a bailout we need from Europe and the IMF
