orange jacks kit

Fri Jul 15, 2011 10:20 am

is it just me or is this another dig at us because when we went down there last season and when they came to us they were waving orange balloons, scarves, flags in honour of blackpool beating us the previous year,so is this a cheap shot from the jacks or coincidence? :o

Re: orange jacks kit

A paranoid coincidence :D

I think not mate,we had orange kits in 60s and 70s.I must say tho I don't like it as swansea are black and white traditional.to be fair I don't like eather kit,but the club got 1.5 million from addidas plus they are the top sports name.but saying that I still dislike both

It's an away kit!! You can't wear black and white home and away! And you said yourself you wore orange in 60s and 70s so it's a kind of return to tradition also.

watching my son train last night for Bryncoch and there were two of these kids wearing these pathetic orange tops, I have to say they were f*cking disgusting! and the kit  :ayatollah:

They are getting more infantile by the day. Most junior school children are more mature than those at the Liberty.

My Jack golfing mate, says he thinks its awful too.

But you are right, you have had orange before, didn't it have 'GULF' on the front of it. Apparently its an oil firm - I just thought it was the differenc ein class between our 2 clubs

I actually liked that kit, probably because I saw a 'young lady' with rather big knockers sporting one on Caswell Bay beach... and we all love a lady in a footy shirt, well pretty ones anyway

He also told me there are more City fans than Jacks in PT and still loads of Cadiff in Neath -although most youngsters were now Swansea fans (or plastics) down that way.

Agree with him with regards to the aberavan/sandfields part of port toilet, but i'd say the rest of the place is 50/50. Neath on the other hand is almost exclusively egg. I work in Neath and Port talbot regularly so i'd say i'm qualified enough to make the observation that i've seen a smattering of Swans car stickers/badges/flags/shirts about the place, but I can honestly say that i have never once in 15yrs working there seen any Cardiff paraphernalia.

Hate to pull rank mate, but he's lived in Neath all his life until the last year or so, so I'd take his word.

Also had a Neath mate in college and he said similar (long time ago mind  ). You are probably right about it being an egg-town, although saying that there always used to be a healthy parks footy league there, and they are one of very few South Wales sides with a Welsh Premier side playing there.

Not that it really is that big a deal anyway. :)

It just kills you jack bastards that there are so many of us in Neath that support the city :ayatollah: Oh and by the way, i have a city badge etched into my back windscreen, and I think you will find a fair amount of city paraphenalia in cars in the Waunceirch and Bryncoch area. Sory lads but neath is white with a blue stain that's slowy being washed out over time.I'm 42 and When I was in my 20s caewern(I know that ain't spelt right)was all cardiff but like I said neath is all but white,as for pt again as a youngster it was many if not more blue then white, but in this day I think you will find it more white as the younger lot support us.I allways use to wonder why on our doorstep ther were cardiff so near to us,but I found out its from the 50 60 were your fan base was built, how ever since then swansea have been the more success full of the two and now the younger lot follow us.Is just a case of glory hunters who will in years to come will be true fans, just like we all started.if swansea do stay in the prem then we will be the bigest team in wales, thers not much in it now,but 2 to 3 years ther then we will be.We do need to expand the liberty and will if we stay up this season by 10 000.

Last season was the first time in 10 years you've finished in front of us !

As for adding 10k to your ground - you must have a short memory, trying to expand the stadium fucked you up before and it would again. Why would you want a 30k stadium when your stay in the Prem is only temporary (surely only the seriously deluded believe that you will be able to compete over any length of time) and you'll be back to giving out free tickets to get 13k in there like you had to on occasions this year ?

Please tel me how are you going to cope if we do stay u??you are so sure we will go back down.you are the deluded ones.As for the 10.000 we have a good working relationship with our landlords who want to see success. And in the 80s we were poorly attended agreed, but them days the whole game was the same due to no work and trouble on the terraces. You have allready said you have seen jacks poping up every were.everything is in place if stay up 10.000 new seats.Ps don't forget success is every thing you were no Where near full houses untill your play off and fa final, many of them new fan stayed.the same will happen here, but on a bigger scale.you had two high profile games,we got a season full of them, off course our fan base will rise.

Reading that is hard work mate. Can you make some effort to space it out a bit ?

How will we cope if you stay up ? Easy, our fan base will stay the same. Nobody 'changes sides' .

Come back in 12 months if you stay up and we'll discuss that, its not just me who thinks you'll go down, its most people in football - and don't forget 6 out of the last 8 play-off winners went straight back down -any many of them were better positioned to cope with promotion. But then believe what you want - I can understand if you are a bit one-eyed, you support the club.

You survived when we were 2 divisions above you, we'll survive now. Its a stupid question.

Even your own fans mainly think extending your stadium is impractical and stupid.

By the way, I haven't said anything about Jacks popping up everywhere, just the ones who followed you before have now gone out and bought shirts !! Same thing happened to us after the FA Cup final.

It wasn't the 80's when your support was low, it was last feckin season FFS.

Our increase in support is mainly due to the new ground, and loads and loads of families now going -from 1000 at NP to well, well over 6000 now. 8 seasons in the Championship and some great players and matches have helped.

No doubt if we go down, or have a few seasons of struggle it will drop back down.

Just like ours will, but again don't let me spoil your dream, but look at burnley last season, after their Prem trip they went back to square 1 with their support.

Re: orange jacks kit

Fri Jul 15, 2011 11:08 pm

Swanses are a far better run club then burnley,as for your crowds you we're not filling your ground untill the fs cup and play offs, yes befor that your crowds incresed but under 20.000 for most games.to be fair I also think we will find the going tuff up ther but to say we will def go down as most ccfc fans think is just more of hope then fact, and I get that as if you we're ther I Would be the same, but don't count your chickens just yet,we have a good team,no stars but a good footbaling team.I remember When we got in to the championship you all said we be back down wile you spent million aftet million.you said last two seasons you were defo going up but failed, just keep believeing what you like as When the opposit happens as it normally does with you the pain is worstPs sory for the spelling and the way it comes accross as I'm using a phone with small keys and to I was allways hands on rather then text book.

Re: orange jacks kit

Fri Jul 15, 2011 11:48 pm

You know when you've been tangoed. Toshacks parting shot when he left swansea in the 80's, "the people of swansea don't deserve a top flight football team, as they never bothered to turn up" without a Dave whelan or a al fayed, swansea cannot survive in prem, fact

I can only really speak for myself of course, but what makes you think that anyone in Swansea gives a shit about what team some no mark herbert from Neath supports? My advice to you would be to either fall into line with the rest of the good folk of Neath and support the local egg, or failing that, support Neath AFC. The benefits of this are two fold. Firstly you'll get to see the living legend that is lord trundle do his stuff, and secondly you'll save yourself a fortune in petrol travelling upto legoland to watch that shower of shit.

Without doubt it is a swipe at CCFC, Anyone who say's different needs to get a gripppp' coincidence? The only thing missing off that scum away kit is the Blackpool FC Cress, Of all the colours they could have had they go blackpool orange, I cant believe people actually think its just a coincidence ffs, Its a blatant reminder to Us that horror show Playoff Final while we watch them enjoy, Had Reading beat them at Wembley would we want an away kit of blue and white hoops? Do you really realise what a cock you are making of yourself.

Firstly Rumney is in Cardiff,

Rhymney is int he Rhymney Valley not feckin Rhondda you knob.

Looks like its not me who wants to go out more

Then all the stuff about 'Cardiff gets it all and we don't ' and how little money is down west, 'thats why we had shit crowds last year'.. so how come they can all afford season tickets this year -and thats on top of you syaing you'll fill the ground if (unlikely) you expand the stadium.

Alternatively you could get off your arse, put your neck on the line and build a couple of businesses like me and my family. By the way, Cardiff is one of the few places where you CAN'T get a grant, so all that bollox your spouting is just that. Hardly suprising as you have no idea of Welsh geography outside bitter City.

This is class keep it up. Trundle (or as you call him troundle  ) Wales' most high profile (Felsh  ) player, Cardiff get everything, we get shit crowds because we can't afford tickets, Rumney in Rhondda, its like all the classic piss-takes of the jacks in one sweet rounded thread.

Thanks for the info but I have my own business in the building trade not big but granted but big enough to pay three lads. And my apology I thought it was in the rhonda, but I will admit to being wrong unlike you stuck up you selfs knobs.as for getting grants if it was so easy every one Would do it,and any its not a case of to go to games we should start a buisness up as ther are many young firms in the area but ther allso needs demand for what they are selling, and in swansea pepole are not buying so firms can't pay out top dollar on pay hence pepole and familys need to economize.I can almost double what I charge in cardiff then in swansea as ther is more money ther and more work that's why I go ther but then fuel comes in to it.Its a fact that your economy is thriving and ours ain't.Cardiff center is booming ours is strugling shops are boarded up or pound shops are ther, try coming down here and take a look for your self you can see were all the money in wales ,or take a look on your door step at newport again another forgotten city with little investment its the same across wales. So don't spout off about what you clearly now f**k all about, because its clearly you who is making a fool off your self, your arrogance is why you hated so much and your lack of knowledge of the out side world but you all quick to make a comment of.ps noticed you lost the discussion on troundle as you did not reply.keep digging can still see your head,,WHAT A PRICK YOU ARE

You seem to have forgotten what you were talking about. As for Trundle, there is no argument, you completely ignored what I said earlier. Better strikers, Jerome, Chopra, Earnie, Bothroyd.. why would we want him ? Bigger names, Earnie, Bellamy, Fowler, JFH, Roger Johnson, Bothroyd... how many more do you want.
Trundle is just a big mouthed fat prick who's now playing Welsh league and hardly scored a goal in the Champ - he was a big fish in a small pool for you and thats the end of it. As for Swansea being a shit-hole, well thats your opinion, I'm sure lots of it is, although when I've been there its got some nice bars, a decent marina and the Gower is nice. Some of the suburbs in the West of it are nice too. ;)

I don't need to admit I'm wrong on anything- as I'm not. Not on anything we have discussed anyway. My opinions may differ form yours, but thats a good thing not a bad one.

Prove where I am, not just post your uneducated opinons.
I did it for you.

I'll leave it for everybody else to make their minds up on this as I'm off out now
