IMO - no, the 3G and 3GS are not being supported by apple now past 4.3.3 and iPhone 5 is rumoured to be released in Sept. Saying that though, if your memory is bigger than 8GB then I'd still do it - if not don't bother. That is not advice for you to not do it though. It is an opinion.

I think ill wait till my upgrade at the end of the year and get a better one then.
Cant wiat for it TBH as mine has gone shockingly g@sh recently, like the screen goes off randomly and i have to wait like 3 mins before it lets me back in, annoying if your i the middle of a call and want to end it or if your playing a game

You need to add a source (repo = repository) where these things are stored!
What you need is Installous (cracked app store) - firstly open Cydia go to changes once loaded (let the circle indicator at top finish) and then hit manage>sources>edit>add - then enter http://Cydia.hackulo.us/ - once that source has been added - save it, then go back to search in Cydia - and search and install : Source GUI, once that's done search and install : Installous 4 - it will require a restart - then you will have the Installous app store on your desktop....
