He's in the queue for a medical - just behind John Oster!

It's ok quoting all those defenders but people like Gypes are likely to go, Darcy can't play Cb all season and Kev is better at rb and when you look back, it was our defence last season that cost us promotion. We don't really know if Gerrard is gonna stay so I'd be surprised if we didn't buy another Cb if I'm honest.

I don't know how anyone can say we have a strong enough defence. We have the same defence that cost us promotion last season, back to back 3-0 home defeats to end our season and hammerings away to Watford etc! Gerrard coming back will strengthen our defence and Taylor will hopefully solve our left back problem. But we definitely need one more centre back in, Keinan and Gyepes are liabilities at this level.

We have the same defence except we have two new defenders
I'm happy with the defence, let gypes go he isn't needed.

Keinan is a liability

Champion's league experience, international experience, granted he made a terrible error in one game but other than that he was sound in the second half of the season.
Need a more functional midfield to protect them.

Yes, we have the same defence that cost us promotion last season. The only defenders I would keep at the moment are McNaughton, Gerrard, Hudson, Quinn and Taylor. The rest aren't good enough so we are severely lacking strength in depth. I would get rid of Naylor, Keinan, Gyepes and Blake. Imagine if our defence were all out injured/suspended and we had to field those 4 as our back 4? We would get torn apart!
My first choice back 4 would be Taylor, Hudson, Gerrard and Mcnaughton, with Quinn as the only reliable back up. So we need at least one more centre back and another left back imo. Although I would settle for loaning someone like Danny Wilson who can play both left back and centre back.

Keinan was a liabilty ever since the Barnsley game at home, where he made a mistake leading to one of the goals. He also makes too many rash tackles and gives away silly fouls in dangerous areas. I don't care what experience Keinan has previously had, he started well, but then he showed his limitations. He isn't good enough.

You should it's how you make an informed opinion not a silly rash one.
The team needed a functional midfield all season, hell for about three seasons. Olifinjana lived of the reputation of his first two or three games and was dire most of the season and provided no protection to the defence. Only times under DJ the central midfield was truly a competent force was when Scimeca or Ledley were there and mostly DJ veered away from them when possible. Now we have got a manager that gives a shit about the midfield we'll see a defence given sufficient protection.

Any team would struggle with an entire back four out injured.
I'm happy with keinan.

Your statement suggests that all those TNS/Rhyl players are good players then as they have Champions League experience? I give my opinions on how players perform for Cardiff City, what they have done previously counts for nothing as it's all in the past. It's all about how players perform right now, and imo, Keinan hasn't played up to a standard good enough to be part of a promotion challenging team.
I totally agree about the lack of protection from midfield, and Malky is addressing this and this will of course, help our defence. But Hudson and McNaughton still had a good season with a weak midfield in front of them last season. Quinn also had a solid season. But imo, I think Keinan really struggled towards the end of last season, that's why I don't think he's good enough and we need better.

Kev had a terrible end of season, costing us a number of goals.
