Emmanuel Frimpong....

Fri Jul 08, 2011 11:32 am

I can remember a couple of weeks back he realest a statement saying that he would want to go out on loan to get 1st team football and his prefered clubs would have been Charlton or The City :D

After that statement and looking at some his videos on youtube inlcuding Arsenal's 4-1 victory over Barnet were he run the show and looked a different class:

Just wondering if anyone knows any news...Are we interested?

I hope to see him in a CITY shirt come the start of the season!! :D :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I've heard we are still interested. How far we have got I am not sure but I'm told we are waiting on what happens at Arsenal as Wenger looks like he is having a bit of a revolution there.

Different position.

JET was never a central midfielder.

I think the point may have been that JET looked great on youtube. I don't want to judge this guy on youtube appearances

I wonder how much Wenger rates him....
If Fabregas and Nasri go i think he might stay and be on the bench depending on if arsenal spend??.

I think hes a great talent and would be a waste playing in their reserves! :ayatollah:

Was thinking the same thing. JET looked immense on YouTube, some great videos of him on there but he was shite while he was here. YouTube not a good measure of talent.

Eddie Johnson looked good on youtube apparently

This guy is supposed to be a quality tough tackling midfielder and exactly what we need. He would have be challenging for first team Arsenal opportunities if it wasn't for injuries. I don't want the team flooded with loanees who don't give a f**k but if we are getting 1 or 2 in then I would welcome this guy. Sure we can get a good Frimpong song going t'boot :ayatollah:

Totally agree :)

He seems hungry to play first team football after his statement!

Give him a chance, We need more depth in midfield! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

That was sort of it - An Arsenal loanee who'd just turn up and go on the lash and not look like he gives a shit about my club.

Not the sort of thing we want.

Not that I believe Malky would allow it to happen mind you!

It would be good if we could get Pingpong on loan. But I just can't see it if the prem teams are in for him. It wouldn't surprise me though with Cardiff City! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

He's looked good at times but lacks discipline big time. Not sure central midfield is where we need strengthening and we already have aggressive central midfield players in Kiss and Gunnarsson.

amazing signing if we get him the lad is quality through and through. However were not short in the middle of the park so doesnt make sense to me.

Re: Emmanuel Frimpong....

hes a talented boy, lacks discipline and i fear he would unbalance the current midfield... think if maybe we went for a quick and skillful winger maybe that would help...

Good player from what ive seen but I would have thought CM was the last position we need to be honest.

Kiss
Whitts
Cowie
Gunnarson
McPhail
Blake
Taiwo
Ralls
Wildig (loaned out)
Mason

Whatever do you mean :P Feel we failed to gt him on loan so got Kiss in stead.

Arent Arsenal running low on midfielders tho? :? Ramsey, Benayoun, Arteta, Frimpong, Walcott

Cant see it.

Wenger would want to see the lad go somewhere and get games.
Would Malky drop one of our midfield players for a few weeks, just
because we got a 'premiership' player for a while?
