The fact that they hacked a missing girls mobile phone, deleted messages so that they could get more juicy quotes for thier filty rag, giving the parents hope that thier daughter was still alive, doesn't hold any moral issues with you then?

yeah it does mate, genuienly does

but the fact is when i go to buy my paper on a Sunday morning, and i have to decide which paper i would prefer to read out of NOTW and any other paper, this paper, for me, provides the most interesting read, so i'll buy that one,
i'm not gonna just not buy it because i dont agree with some stuff it does, if its the paper i would personally prefer to read you know?

But by buying it you are contributing to it. They keep saying that they do these things in the public interest, when it's clear that couldn't be further from the truth.

Yep, is there any limit to the depths of depravity that Rupert Murdoch will sink? Firsthand experience of the NOTW machinations when they carved my union up for daring to go against the Labour Government they were 'propping up' at that time....

I hate the paper and would never buy it or the sun. This latest revelation though does go to prove that what I've always thought of them is sadly very true, that there is no depth to which they wouldn't stoop just to sell papers. I would love to think that this would finish them as no normal, compassionate human being would ever buy their paper ever again after this disgusting act but, as some people think a story which would probably fill the front page as "Exclusive: We gain access to Milly Dowler's voicemail" is acceptable news, then they are as complicit in the whole sordid episode as the paper is. But then, as was pointed out by an earlier post on here, this and Jordan's latest conquest are an interesting read on a Sunday morning. This could be the reason why the morals of our country are going downhill rapidly. Personally, if I ever buy a Sunday paper these days (which is rare), I would rather read about proper news

I Never buy any of the Papers, their all filth IMO, i do belive though that these papers should not get fined, when they get caught with their trousers down (so to speak) but suspended for a Period of time, no printing for a week, a month and so on.

They should also be made to give a full front page apology. I'd rather the general public stand up to it and stop buying the crap, the only thing they understand is money. Hit them where it hurts.

It's all getting worse for them, advertisers leaving like no ones business, the public calling for boycotts, so sweet to see the gutter press finally getting their comeuppance. For too long they have been laughing at self regulation. Time now for an independant enquiry and for the people responsible to face justice.

I saw someone reading a copy of the sun today, unsurprisingly no mention of the scandal on their front page.

Show them we won't accept it any more, don't buy their filthy rags. Not just this week, but as long as it takes. Buy a paper with a bit of integrity, The independant, The Guardian, christ even buy Viz!
