The wage bill should be much lower next season and hopefully contracts will be performance related. Hopefully Mackay will bring in a couple of decent wide players, a box to box midfielder and Earnie/Bellers.

Is this budget on players only or wages aswell ? , the wage bill should be lower this year so we could have a decent amount to spend this summer? :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Annis - I agree this is going to be an exciting season.

However, do you know how much of this is for wages? :ayatollah:

Re: " £20 MILLION BUDGET "

He'll be lucky to keep the wage bill lower than 15m so he won't have much left for transfer fees.

Is the total budget £20m? If so, and £4m is for other bills that only leaves £16m for wages AND transfers. Bearing in mind wages last season were £16m (I don't know that for a fact, only what I've seen on here) it doesn't leave much for transfers. Willing to be corrected if I have missed something.

This is not a snipe or a personal attack on Carl but how do we know that echo Journo hasn't read that info from Carls post on here and just repeated on Talksport? As you've said countless times before, the echo get a lot of their information from here.

You can't criticise the echo for pinching their stories off here one minute and then use their stories to validate your own posts the next minute!

Obviously the player budget has gone down from the believed £20million to £16million to take into account some debt, not a bad thing.

I think the figure suggests free transfers or minimal 100k to 200k. Still not a bad thing as there are plenty of decent free transfers out there.

Chopra's wages only removed, at most, £1million from the wage bill so it will still be difficult to maintain a competitive squad unless we spend the vast amount on wages again.

I wonder how Bellamy's wages will be accounted for? Last year it was stated that his wages were paid by the chairman, if he returns will they be taken out of the £16million?

Given Bellamy will only play for us or Man City, his words, 4m isn't going to be paid. Bellamy doesn't join? Costs Man City 4.5m in wages...

The first thing Im sure any good manager would do is to make his defence solid. We learn the hard way ,that not matter how good your Strike force is ,your defenders have to be better. If we dont score but dont let them score we do get something. Unlike last season we put 2 goals away but let in 3 and get fk all. A our first thing has to be a Keeper of quality, he is the player that can win you games without scoring a single goal. :ayatollah:

Looking forward to next season more than I have in a while to be honest :ayatollah:

I couldn’t care less about the jacks they don’t have the crowds we do or the fantastic youth set up or the backing etc etc etc

A few jacks I know keeping going on about how its like the 80s again with any luck it will be and they’ll sink without a trace again

At the end of the day Man City havent too much to gain by digging in too much and get bellamy to stay there as a non-player. This will be a bad advert for the club who are trying to establish itself as a top team and therfore need to attract top players. They do not want to set a precident that they will potentially be awkward to let players go even if they are not using you in their squad

That said i think we should be lookiong to bring craig here in a fair a way as possible, perhaps meet them some of the way towards their request
