A forum for all things Cardiff City
Fri Jun 17, 2011 11:24 am
As it might just come back to haunt us!
It really pains me to say it but i personally think they will do ok next season, and have a right go at it, and by playing attractive football. It also really pains me to admit it but if we need an example of how to run a football club from top to bottom, we just need to look down the M4. Just remember that everything we aspire to do, they have done it and in my opinion done it very well (god it hurts to say that). They appear to be preparing fro the next season in the right way too, and i wouldn't bet against them doind something similar to blackpool last season. Whether or not they will have the ability and strenth in depth to beat the drop, remains to be seen, but you never know they may just manage it.
At the moment we only have the odd pikey or two turning up on this board, however, if we continue to predict that they will get slaughtered every game next season, and they don't. Can you imagine how many are going to join this forum over the next few months, taking the piss every day? You know what their like, they breed like rats.
lets support our club and try to get our own house in order, as i don't think we are currently in a position to take the piss out of anyone, do you?
For the time being i reckon it would be a good idea if we just ignore any pikey peg seller posts, however, when we finally get our s**t together again, the gloves are back off

F*CK THAT SH*T!
Fri Jun 17, 2011 11:28 am
We need to accept that right now. Swansea are a bigger, richer Club than us.
That is just plain fact. We are OBVIOUSLY potentially in a different league
to them. But at this moment in time... THEY are in a different league to us.
Slagging the filthy peg-selling, pond-life,incestuous, Jeremy Kyle appearing,
slum dwelling, AIDS ridden scum off just makes us look bitter!!

I want them relegated by xmas
Fri Jun 17, 2011 11:32 am
Yes Taffy CURRENTLY they are, but not for long. I want them relegated too, and to lose every game. But i just have a funny feeling they may do ok, and with a lot of luck may just stay up. I realy hope i'm wrong.

Valid points about the jacks club and their business approach international blue.
However I feel Swansea will only spend one season as they haven't been that busy in the transfer Market presently and huw Jenkins wont splash the cash they need to stay up. I do agree with you however that they will mirror Blackpool with a few shocks over big teams along the way with a brand of attractive attacking play. Also geographically where they are I don't see many very good players wanting to come to Swansea. Talented players probably want the bright lights of major city's, would Swansea be too sleepy for them?
They bought Danny Graham who was the top scorer in the champ last season for a team that finished outside the playoffs an are on the brink of getting senna on a free who has probably past his best. Still I wish Swansea well and look forward to playing them next season.

theres no need to look at swansea about how to run a club. The amount of creditors they have tucked up over the years, the fuckers should have been shut down.
Fri Jun 17, 2011 1:50 pm
Yes your right mate, but not even including the stadium debt i wonder how much and to who we still owe money to? e.g we just sold a player and had to pay Sunderland back money we owed them from when we bought him, i wasn't aware that we owed money to them, were you? who else do we owe that we don't yet know about?
Regarding Swansea's previous debts etc, i totally agree with you they were wrong and it was out of order, but my point is that since then they seem to be doing things the right way.

Hi,
I know Im in the lions den here so Ill keep it to the point. This aint a 'gloat' post either!
I wanted to see how the CCFC fans have taken to the Swans going up and this thread was on top for google results. Its refreshing to see such a worded thread considering how all CCFC fans must be feeling, I know how I'd feel if it were the other way round as well.
As a loyal fan of scfc, I just wanted to say that in some way im a little gutted that the 2 of us couldnt have gone up. It would have shut up a lot of the English fans who have already slated the Swans/Bluebirds and not even given a chance to see them play. Im sure that if Cardiff had gone up, then there wouldve been similar comments made. All teams that go upto the PL are instantly placed with high odds that theyre coming back down, but from some of the comments ive read on other PL team forums, theyre bordering on national racism of the Welsh! And im sure CCFC fans would feel the same unjust pessimism thats being guided towards Wales in general and the football we play. Cardiff are a good team and the latter games of the CL were sadly your downfall as were the games for the Swans too. If both teams had won crucial games Im sure that we both couldve gone up without question. We luckily had a slightly better end-season and I admit that we got some lucky calls in the playoffs, but thats football and it happens, look at Man U and the big 5, they have lucky calls for them all the time.
I have several mates who are bluebirds fans, and whilst we berate eachother throughout the season, both sets of fans were complimentary of each others good games from the season. Both clubs played exciting footie, its just the run-in at the end kinda got to both clubs.
Even though CC didnt make it this time, im sure that they will - and sooner rather than later. Being Welsh I would love to see both of us competing at the highest level and Im sure that CCFC fans would like that too re:swans and blues in the PL, Its good for Wales at the end of the day. I know theres many BB fans that want us down asap, but im sure theres a few fans that are "happy" (thru gritted teeth) that at least one of us is there.
So, from a Jack, Im wishing CCFC well for next season and I sincerely hope that you lot do it! no kidding!
There's enough room for us both in the PL, so buck up and get behind your team. I think you gotta bit of a struggle ahead with some key players jumping ship, but perhaps your better off without them anyway.
---
Ive not slated anyone or been obusive here, I know a few fans will tell me to F.O. and die and but I do wish CCFC well and maybe we can look forward to some almighty derbys next season (if we stay up!!)

...just wanted to add as well that yes the old swans board did do some nasty things re; debts. I personally know a few people who got burned by the old regime. The old board certainly have some questions to answer to.

well thanks for that jack, i agree with all that!^^
there are some people who are just so bitter, you're not one of them, you're the kinda swansea fan i like wishing us well. not many jacks would ever do that, some cardiff fans who don't know the meaning of 'football' still think we are better than you, and the bitter ones say the jacks are shit, but we gotta face it, you're a much better club at the moment and now a much richer club. i actually think the jacks will stay up!

Good post Jack, informative, factual and constructive and the most sensible one i have ever read from a Jack. I almost felt bad for calling you a pikey in my original

If the other jacks to visit this board behaved like you and didn't post the gloating crap that they do, maybe some of you would be welcome to visit and post from time to time like some other clubs fans do. But, like us you have some fans who are unable to behave themselves.
I meant everything i said in my original post and i suspect that some other Cardiff fans feel the same too, i feel you will do ok next year and with lots of good luck you may just manage to avoid being relegated or at least be very proud of your teams performance if you do. Eitherway the revenue that you will generate will set you up nicely for the future and the way your club seems to be run, the money will be spent wisely.
Naturally there are many issues that we will have to agree to disagree on, but what i will say is that you are CURRENTLY the most successful team in Wales but you will never be the biggest. I reckon that even though you probably wouldn't admit it i am right on that point?
Anyway, good luck for next season and if you are willing to post polite and constructive posts like your last one, i for one would welcome you back (but not too often though)

This is a good post and if more Jacks on here were like you the banter would be better and the hatred less.
Personally i want the jacks to lose every game next season-however if we do go up then the nicer side of me would like you to finsih 4th from bottom so their could be at least 1 season of S Wales derbies and this would hopefully be the final nail in the coffin of egg chasing.
Anyway nice to see another decent west walian poster on here. Enjoy your time in the prem league-especially if you are an old school fan who endured the bleak years against the halifaxes and rochdales.....

Wow! Thanks for the good words back, i expected some brutal language (im sure some will reply though) but yes, i meant what i said...
...Its time for both clubs to be up there no doubt. We got a bit of luck and you didnt, although i know for a fact that NO bb fan was happy with the Reading fiasco. I watched it in disbelief along with some BB fans by my side. Upto that game i honestly thought it was gonna be us two at Wembley, watta game/day that wouldda been - what happened? ... doesnt matter now though, its time for you to rebuild but Shearer wouldda been the joke appointment of the decade!!!! You gotta good manager in Mackay. Lets face it, when Brendan was appointed new manager here we ALL had doubts big time because of his previous record. Luckily he had some good contacts in Chelsea and anyone can see how much that affected the team. Having said that, we bombed miserably in some games which is an Achilles Heal of the swans. The same could be said for CC too. Im being devils advocate here and both teams lost "easy" games, oh how the outcome couldve been so different. In my opinion QPR shouldda been docked the points, Warnock was the loudest mouth when West Ham did what they did, i think they got away very lightly. Saying that, Ecclestone and Briatore probably spend that amount of money for breakfast!
to InternationalBlue^. no offence taken with the pikey remark lol. We have some names for you as well

I just wish that there was a bit more good said and credit given where or when its due for both clubs. We're Welsh first yeah? not Swansea or Cardiff.
Im actually 'on the fence' to the outcome of the first PL season, i really have no idea how we'll do! We got loads of new players both young and old but the swans play a big passing game, i cant see the likes of Tate competing with some of the PL's big guns! who knows?!
----
on a side note. My old business was making stained-glass mirrors for football teams. I offered the mirrors to the CCFC shop but when the merchandise manager asked where i was from, he errr kinda backed down! The mirror (by law) had to have our address on a label for the reverse of the mirror, of course it said Swansea on it...mmmm i wonder why he never took any off me? lol (they were bloody good as well, if i do say so myself)
----
Anyways, thanks for the welcome. I wont post that often i dont think lol, but ill certainly be watching CCFC this season and again I wish you well and good luck. (in my opinion you've also got rid of a lot of dead weight, same as the swans)

lol thanks mate. Im honoured you gave us 4th from bottom.
As for the bad years, yes they were tough. I played at the Vetch a few times (as a Swansea Rep, (schoolboys)) and its sad that the ground has gone but on the other hand its a blessing, same for you lot too. Both clubs are now ready for topflight, lets hope we can meet up again....in the PL.

That's an excellent post mate and contains a lot of sense. It's a pity that there aren't more jacks like you. What irritates most Cardiff fans is the fact that it's not just your fans that have a go at us (we would expect that tbh) but it's your chairman, your present and past managers and your present and past players as well as celebrity fan (if you can call them that) like Leighton James and John Hartson. It shows that the have such a huge inferiority complex about us.
Sat Jun 18, 2011 8:45 pm
They remain irrelevant.
Don't hate Swansea, pity them.
