steve nobody but themselves to blame when i need a plumber i dont employ a carpenter in his place.
football is a different business to anything else and you need football people dealing with football issue's otherwise you end up in the situation we are in now
As much as i disliked the riddler he would never have been caught with his trousers down like this.

I thought that because we are in the FAW and we have not approached anyone from Swansea Newport wrexham etc that there is no case to answer with the FA

IF the club have acted wrongly in the pursuit of Mackay why are our OWN fans exposing them on Internet Message Boards.
If I ever found out, that Cardiff had behaved wrongly in approaching a player or a manager, the very last thing I would do is put it on a public forum.

Cardiff City is a great club and I wish them every success next season."

its interesting carl that dato did all the negotiating which proves that the two amigo's gethin and alan have totally failed in their efforts to secure a manager.
Not bad news in my opinion as we needed a manager here for the long run who needs to rebuild the club and squad from the bottom up and shearer with even a small amount of success would have been instanly linked with the newcastle job and promotion would have had the english press baying for him to be appointed england manager.
For me its back to Hughton or de matteo now as you and i know all sorts of rules have been broken in pursuit of other managers.
Frankly this leaves the club in a mess at the moment and hopefully a lesson should be learnt here and there should be a director of football appointed to oversee all football matters because to be brutally honest this has exposed gethins lack of experience or knowledge of all things football and he should be just allowed to run the clubs business side of players contracts and the commercial side .

Spot on Steve and I know you get your info Direct from a Director at CCFC

The riddler always said he would leave Cardiff in a much better position financially and would only leave when the club were able to fight for themselves.....well who is fighting for us now?! Why is a rugby bloke in charge football arrangements.
I fear we ate falling, then the crash will happen then the inevitable burn.
Did gethin need to be in portugal on conference when we needed a manager first?
We should have been looking for a manager the very day DJ went.

The question is, Steve, Annis, did the Malaysians speak to Shearer, arrange a deal DUE to Jenkins etc "messing up" or have Jenkins etc done a decent job but the Malaysians decided to interfere in the process?
The latter seems the only rationale reason for anyone even considering Shearer, aside from a deluded Geordie wannabe and someone who can't be named who has him as his third choice...

i think the shearer appointment was a malaysian decision alone based on his profile in malaysia but i also believe due to the lack of progress from within the club.
i think you will find that when the dust settles the rank amatuer way we have pursed a new manager will be an embarrasment to all concerned.
The only face saver with shearer is that they did not make an official announcement prior to him pulling out although they had tipped off the press that it was a done deal hence some of the headlines this morning.

Certainly appears to be more appealing than the Cardiff job
Any serious answers though as no one seems to be asking the question.

Shearer contacted Blackburn, wanting the role Ince got.
Shearer pulled out - claiming it would interfere with his other interests, ie media work.
Newcastle? Couldn't manage there due to the pressure, so he said.
When it comes to it, his ego loves to feel wanted, yet he hasn't got the balls or the ability to actually manage. Unless he could be offered a role by a top 4 club, on megabucks with squillions to spend, I'd be amazed if he ever manages.

All this shows shocking amatuerism and lack of football management knowledge at CCFC ..... just look back to the Ledley nonsense this time last yr !

I think it would be best to wait and see if Watford accept our compensation offer and we move on....IF we had made an illegal approach I am positive this would be all over Sky sports, look at the McLeish situation...no saying anyone is wrong here just saying that leaving this thread as a sticky based on rumours is leaving this board open to criticism.
Watford would be screaming blue murder by now...perhaps they may still do that but I can see no evidence anywhere YET
