Hello...
Why is that making sense to you ?
Player sales was always going to happen at watford and it was always going to happen to our biggest assets.
we have been looking for a new owner for 3 years.
chief exec was always gonna go when the new owner settled in.

since the dismissal of DJ'ns I have not bought any of the spin from CCFC or the Press and the likes, Spinning potentual Manager names out of the hat like a magician desperately trying to impress. M R O'Neil-Sam A, Houghton D Mat and as we are told another 16 or so have applied for the City post. Now if there is any truth with Mr Malky, Then We must address the fact that Mr Malky is indeed contracted to Watford for a lengthy time, if He was or is the next Manager at Cardiff then the inevitable large Compo to Watford to follow?????? So £500,000 to a Mil down the pan be for Malky even hangs His coat up in the office'''''''''''''''I ain't buying none of it, It seems that Our Board likes to loose money, How many other Clubs do you see have 6 or 7 may be more (not sure) loan players at their club when so many of their contracted Players are not secured??? We cant blame Happy face Dj'ns for everything because Our Board allowed this to happen and must take responsibility also, Sad thing is the Board obviously havent learned a thing if Mr Malky is to be our next manager, The fact that Malky is not strong enough to prevent the Watford Board from not just to selling His Players, but behind His back only tells Me that if Malky is to be Our next Manager theres a hint that He's happy to play GJ and Co's game. Not Strong enough!!!!!!!!

I've finally realised that our support is full of miserable bastards who wont be
happy no matter what. I wanted Hughton, but when i read this thread thought...
"Hang on, Mackay??.. he's got some potential this feller!!! So if it is Mackay
I'm over the moon.
Some of you twats (sorry, but you deserve it!) would complain if we got Alex
f*cking Ferguson, youd say "too old, too Scottish, likes his wine too much, over
the hill!"
For fucks sake.. its obvious to a 5 year old that our board are deadly serious about
this appointment.
Because (finally) they are deadly serious about this clubs future!!
Shame a lot of our support consists of big babies spitting their dummies out for
no reason whatsoever

I would be happy if Malky Mackay became our next manager he was my 2nd choice behind Hughton and with the resources he had at Watford at one point last season they were they in form team in the football league, he's a young manager and he'll be like a breath of fresh air compared to the last one we had I think he'll bring some good, talented and hungry players to our club I also believe he's got some good contacts in the game, thank you Tony for these mini updates while Carl has been away, is he back today and will he be putting out an update once the New manager has been revealed?

With no money! Youngest squad in the division!!

I've just been scanning their forums and Watford fans have a major chip on their shoulder regarding us. Any idea why? One of our fans went over and started a new topic asking what Mackay is like as a manager and he just got berated and shot down. He used good manners and didn't kick off at all.
I hope it is Mackay now. It would make sense given I we've sold Chopra and surely that would only have been a decision made by a manager-in-waiting and the reason for the delay in announcing it is to sort out any compensation.
I still find it amusing when other clubs claim the FA and Football League let us do what we like. How? Yes, we have debt but so do dozens and dozens of other clubs in the league. The difference is, our debt is currently manageable. Some clubs can be so jealous sometimes.

I'd be more than happy with this appointment. If this comes off, ffs get behind the man - he's got a massive job on his hands
Sun Jun 12, 2011 9:54 am
I will back who ever becomes our manager, but going for Mackay compared to Hughton or Di Matteo will be a risk because he is new to management. And paying compensation for him would be better spent on squad re-building surely? I don't doubt his ability at all, I thought Watford were probably the best attacking side that came to the CCS this season and looked like promotion contenders until they had injuries. I just think with all the applicants we have had we are better off with someone who has managed at Championship and Prem level and has a good coacing back ground.
Sun Jun 12, 2011 10:05 am
I'm not convinced that it will be MM myself.
Sun Jun 12, 2011 10:06 am
He wouldn't be my first choice (that is Steve Maclaren) but I do think he has potential and I certainly wouldn't be disappointed if he was appointed! Young , enthusiastic, proved he can manage on a budget and play nice football! It will be interesting to see how much the board will make available to spend as I think we need to be patient this season and prepare ourselves for a rebuilding job! Any new man has a hell of a job on their hands and therefore if we ate challenging for the top 6 then in my eyes they will have done well
