I agree in that sense that the man has never built a team which is what we need.

However he did turn Newcastle around, they did lose some good players. They could have gone like Borough.

di matteo had a excellent squad to.. and mackay was lucky not to get relegated in his first season.

some managers just tick with certain clubs

out of the front runners, hughton has plenty of contacts and has HUGE respect in the game. but as already pointed out, it could be a disaster

yes i would as im cardiff through and through the same was as i did with D.J but you had a lot off people on this site slaging D.J off when he kept us in the championship for 5 year no one else as done that for cardiff in my 32 years as a cardiff fan

10 games is NOTHING to give a new manager a chance to gel what is looking like a massively changed squad together.

A season and a half is more like it. I'm really worried that our "fans" will get straight on the new managers' back if we're not 4th after 5 games. Really worried.

CH was a very respected coach long before he made manager. He is very good man manager ( big part of the job.DJ was'nt). He dealt with the likes of Barton who has had the most consistent part of his career so far thanks to CH ( and kept him out of the nick). He is great with the fans because he shows passion, desire and commitment. Tactical know-how. Brings on youth and gets the best out of established players. It's got to be CH. I've got £40 riding on him at 11/4.

Newcastle were wrote off by everybody when they got relegated, including bookies at start if season they were knowhere near favourites.... He done a great job in taking them straight back up, it's not easy no matter what squad you got. Not many teams go straight back up, look at all the famous old pl teams still in the championship,3/4 of the league are good ex pl teams. So whoever says ch ain't done anything hadn't got a clue!!!! Like annis says he was number 2 at spurs for many years learning off many managers.... How did mourinho start off in football???? Exactly the same way!!! It's all about opinions..... But some people need to respect managers and coaches who have been in the game a long time like ch!!!!! Hughtons barmy army!!!
