my take on things

Fri Jun 10, 2011 5:04 pm

the players that have been shipped out are the ones on big wages some caused the club problems or didnt earn their wages with gutless piss poor performances.
we are clearing out all the dead wood from the last few season and starting fresh.
new manager and new players hopefully none will come in on silly wages.
over the years the club has thrown silly fee's and wages at the wrong people and got into debt so for once the club are taking their time and hopefully are doing it the right way lets trust them and hard as it is be patient.
its about time that cardiff city is being run sensibly lets keep the faith :ayatollah:

You missed out on one big factor there. We have also got rid of the biggest failure this club has known.

Good point it is now so important we get the right guy as Manager early enough that he can build an effective team for the start of next season.

i think deep down the malaysians got a 2 season plan and not what some think that they will pull out all stops this season.
play offs be great this season and if we fail we will have a strong base of a squad ready for the season after :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

It's that rare occasion when I find myself agreeing with your posts jinks.

You are spot on.

We've tried playing fantasy football and living way beyond our means. One of the things that hurts the most about Swanseas promotion is that they did it at a fraction of the cost, playing great football.

With a nucleus of a squad based around Heaton, Kev, Gerrard, Quinn, Whitts and hopefully Bellamy, I am still optimistic but the squad clearly needs fleshing out big time.

Spot on Jinks. I thoroughly enjoyed the 2009-2010 season (apart from the end of it) but I hated every minute of last season. With the dead wood gone, I'm incredibley excited for the new season. When Riddler left, people said it was a new era. I'm sorry, but it was a false dawn. NOW its a new era!! For City and the Gers ;)

What is a "gers"?

I'm not being impolite and its been around 40 years since I was force fed welsh but that one escapes me. Has the coalition government changed the name of WAG or something?

Genuine question this, one doesn't like not knowing everything that goes on the land of my birth. ;)

I've lived in London since 1986, Balham, Tooting Bec, South London proper like. Seen old Wimbledon supporters cry genuine tears of sadness when the Iceland banks shut them down, seen Kingston taken over. Been to Stamford Bridge perhaps 20 times, not for Cardiff, just mates I know who follow Chelsea. Apart from the play off final, in what 2003? Probably one of the beast train rides I've ever had, the "gers" guys were great, no trouble, no bother, smoked a few "funny fags" drunk quite a few beers.

Fair play to QPR.

I didn't realise that you and Jinks were QPR fans, Stan and DWQR will be well pleased, pulled a couple of our guys to their side. Rather be a west london blue than a JB Eh :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
