what the f**k is going on

Postby bluebird04 » Fri Jun 10, 2011 4:05 pm

guys there must be something going on at the club, we have let bothroyd, chops, burke, all go for free .... 3 of the most attacking players in this league who all proved they could do the job

we still haven't heard anything about bellamy, we got no manager at the moment and some quality players are being snapped up on free transfers

clearly the club are not signin hughton, or Di Mattaeo because neither went on holidays they all came to the interviews ect ect and you dont apply for a job, then go off

the current squad clearly are not good enough geypes, naylor, mcphail, parkin all in no offence, not good enough for an promo pushing sqaud

are we really looking at promotion........

this doesnt happen every season

we dont lose a manager and a whole squad every season..........we all know about chops' off field problems, but lets face it, the right boss would have it under control and chops perfoming....paul jewell will undoubtabley have chopra at his best next season now...

we have taken too long to get a new manager and we really seem clueless

i do not think we shall see premiership football for a long long time.....

mate, stay calm. We had alot of loan players, three have gone out of contract (Rae, Jay and Burkey) Theres money to spend and we will get in a new manager who will have his own ideas.

Bellamy aside, I can't say I'm too disappointed to see the back of anyone who's gone.

Clean slate, hopefully some "hungry" players rather than some of the self-obsessed journeymen we have lost.

I can't understand why anyone's surprised to be honest.

We had 7 loan players who were always going to leave.
We've managed to pay off a debt with the Chopra money, saved a shedload in wages and let's be honest his best days are behind him.
Bothroyd was out of contract anyway - note we were all lead to beleive there was a queue of prem clubs waiting to snap him up, perhaps the lack of activity speaks volumes?

Of course there's a big hole, but that hole was previously filled with players who promised much but delivered little.

As soon as the new manager signs, he'll start filling that hole.

We have an improved budget on last season, nothing much in the way of transfer money to be fair, but a lot could change if/when the Langtsone situation is resolved?

I'm not hitting the panic button just yet, and to be honest, I'd settle for mid-table obscurity this season if it meant that we were developing players who can mount a serious and sustainable challenge the year after, rather than the shit or bust approach of last season.

We were under a transfer embargo this time last season o couldnt sign anyone even tho we had a manager yet the squad wasnt to bad.

keep the faith, clearly a new manager will bring in his own players.

Lets be honest the squad of the last few years containing 'big name' players and the most expensive manager in the league wouldn't have got promotion between now and the next millenium. These so called 'star players' in the main were shite last year and were better piss artists than players. The whole situation felt wrong and I actually found myself not liking the group of players who represented the club. They definately took the fans for granted. A new start is what's needed.

Having said that, if I could have chose one player to keep, Bellamy aside, it would have been Chopra. We need to bring in 8-10 players, so hopefully the new manager will be in place by mid week next week. Any longer and it'll all look a bit silly.

I think we're in a better position now than we were this time last summer.

Maybe not in terms of players but definitely in terms of potential players w can sign. This time last year noone thought that bellers would sign and now it's a possiblilty we may get him permanently. We now don't have DJ and hopefully we will get a quality replacement in to take us forward. We have got rid of our players on big wages and have learnt the mistakes of last season. The Malaysians have said they will back us again next season. Also, we are not in a transfer embargo. We are moving in the right direction in terms of sorting out the debts. Probably many more reasons as well. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
