Pitch Lights - growing turf fit for footballers

Thu Jun 09, 2011 9:42 am

I hope that the new manager has been told that a certain amount of this year's budget will be used to acquire and power pitch lighting rigs to cultivate the best turf in the Championship.

No point building a squad of Ferraris if the work is better suited to tractors!

IF the budget is £20m - then surely £19.7m isnt going to do too much damage to get the lighting fitted? especially since there would have been compo for Matthews, A almost certain fee for Chops, and the saving of wages so far of 12 players, Getting these lighting rigs fitted is a MUST!

Stadium manager will have a budget as well. If policing is down to rock bottom levels perhaps this saving should be passed on the groundstaff for the lights?
