Cardiff City FC - STATS 2010-11 - (final evaluation)

I was going to compile a load of stats - and pictures here, but thought it'd be easier to just post the link at the bottom.


Some interesting Stats at the bottom to pay particular attention to especially the Half Time tables!

Away games only - Cardiff won the league only counting scores up til half time.
Home games only - Cardiff were 3rd in the league counting half time scores only.


Cardiff would have won the league if the (home & away) half time scores remained the same til the final whistle......

Cardiff won the most games away from home - but still only finished 3rd in the league - if only away games counted.

If only Home games counted - Cardiff would have only finished 7th in the league.

Cardiff were losing 11 out of the 46 games at half time - and only went on to win ONE game, drawing 5 and losing 5 each.

Cardiff were wining 20 of the 46 games by half time! - and went on to win 16 lost 2 and drew 1.

When Cardiff scored the first goal which was 29 out of the 46 games, we went on to win 21, draw 5 and lose 3.
When Cardiff conceded the first goal which was 16 out of 46 games, we went on to win JUST 2, draw 5 and lose 9.

Cardiff failed to score only once at home, and ALWAYS scored at least one goal away from home.
Cardiff scored the most goals in the league in the first 15mins of the game.
Behind only Norwich - Cardiff scored the most goals inside the last 15 mins.

Very true! Well spotted....

I think what it was meant to say was only one game we earned a pt from but not scoring...

Wasn't the Palace game 1-1?

Incorrect - we lost 3-0 at Bristol, 2-0 at Ipswich, 1-0 at Middlesbrough and 1-0 at Crystal Palace
Didn't score in any of those...

Also we lost 2-0 at home to forest and 2-0 at home to ipswich.

Ok - let's just ignore the bit about not scoring in those games, apart from that - we seem to either lose it all in the second halves - especially at home, and even worse when we conceed first we are truly awful! If the new manager works on a more balanced game with these things in mind, we will be a stronger team....

At least we can be an underdog for a change!
