they dont seem best pleased at the thoughts of him leaving!

I like the look of Mackay, got them playing good football and they seemed pretty determined. I actually thought he'd be the one we went for if we had sacked DJ in January.

Plus he's Scottish, and they always seem to do well

I'm coming around to quite fancying old Malkay.

He had Watford playing great football basically armed with what he inheritted and he wears his heart on his sleeve which will endear him to most of our lot! With a bit of cash he could work wonders. Doesn't always work that way but then again, he may not have that much cash to spend. A bit of wheeling and dealing and hey presto, a bunch of players who gel like a team!

If he is gonna come in, I wish Buckley was still there for us to poach. That boy will go far!

I never thought much of him to be honest, but Watford did well and he made a good squad there for what he was working with, and see as their gonna be gutted if they leave means they rate him ... Wouldn't mind if he comes here now!

That's what I was thinking. I know most would still prefer Hughton, but everyone's got to start somewhere. Lambert and Rodgers are two fine examples of two promising young managers who hadn't found the right club until they found Norwich and Swansea respectively.

Watford were excellent going forward, but could not Defend.

Same here. How he avoided getting relegated the last few season with Watford is impressive. They've had absolutely no money in the last few years. He's worked on less of a budget than Hughton and Di Matteo did.

Reading through Watford fans opinions of the state of Cardiff City brought home to
me just how far we've come this last year or so.

they all think we are close to going under, with mega-millions of debts and the
creditors circling

When in fact, PMG are now back in the fold and have given up large proportions
of debt for shares, and Langstone appear to be no threat whatsoever. We also
have a relatively big ground, with plans to expand, we are almost up to the limit
re: season ticket holders and are thinking big.

But none of them appear to know this ;)

The only downer really was a few digs at our lack of youngsters coming through
but lets hope that will be getting addressed soon eh
