The bosses at CCFC need to address the problem with the empty seats in the Family Stand for the majority of home games , plus what about all the guys who were sat in 118/117 who moved due to the fact that Prem League away fans were getting more tickets ??

Agreed....and it'll change DURING the game too (depending on the result at any given time)

Lots of 'empties' at kick-off (due to the disappearing Premiership Dream-Chasers  ), even more after half-time if the team aren't 7-0 up and playing like Brazil in the 70's, and almost empty with 5 minutes to go (regardless of the score) as the 'queue-dodgers' and 'school next day' merchants leave in their droves with NO thought of the team they are leaving behind OR the fact that they KNEW what time the games would end BEFORE they bought their tickets....

No doubt someone will come on and attempt to justify their leaving early and there WILL always be an exception the the rule BUT NOT THE SAME PEOPLE EVERY WEEK IMO!!

Get behind YOUR club 'til the rather obese lady gets her finely tuned tonsils warbling....!!

Who cares?! Why don't you focus on giving YOUR support to the team instead of abusing other fans? I stay till the end and yes it annoys me that people leave early. But thats their choice. They've paid alot of money for their tickets so they can do whatever the hell they want....aslong as the club is getting its money as far as im concerned.

I think what DOES need to be addressed is the amount of snobbery held amongst some of our fans towards other fans.

What's the problem with leaving 5 minutes before the end if you do have school the next day? That's just pure snobbery, it doesn't mean you're any less of a fan.

There was talk of re-selling the empty ST seats if those seats were available on a match by match basis. This is untapped revenue which the club should definitely be looking at next season. Its ridiculous to see empty seats in a sell out

I'm one of the season ticket holders in 118 and I re-newed to move over just so I was near the segregation as you weren't allowed to re-new in 117/118 (because those seats would've been taken by away fans if we had go promoted). But due to the fact that we didn't get promoted, they let me have the same seat as I did this season. :ayatollah:

This snobbery you speak of is no different to any other set of fans in the UK, you're not alone.

And just for the record ....... my seat for each home game will be empty as soon as the added time board goes up at the end of each half , my bladder is only good for about 44 mins these days :ayatollah: :D :ayatollah:

I think it has nothing to do with being a snob, on the other hand it has everything to do with supporting your team whoever you support in whatever capcity.
P.S By the way, I always stay til well after the end of the match :D

I always stay til the end, and I tend to stay for a minute or two just to let the people who really want to get out - get out. I can't arsed queuing to get out.

One thing I've never understood until the M'boro game... people who stay sat in their seat for half an hour after a bad loss. After the Middlesbrough game I couldn't bring myself to move from the seat.

You hit the nail on the head i hate to see eveyone leave 10 miniutes before the end it drives me mad and also whrn we have gone a goal down people leave. Whats the reason in getting a ticket if you are going to leave!!!!!

I don't know if it's snobbery, or just embarrassment.

I find it f*cking embarrassing that so much of our support would rather rush for a burger than stay till the end.
Yes, some have proper reasons, but don't tell me they all do.

Great post PF I'm just sick to death with one set of fans having ago at another because they attend late/go early or don't know the words to the 3 songs we have or whatever else they can dream up.

Not so long ago everyone was bemoaning the fact Cardiff had the potential to attract 20,000+ fans every week. Now we are doing that it seems to be an agenda by some to make the new commers feel unwelcome.

The way I look at it if your team is Cardiff City then you are one of us, no if or buts, one of US end of! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Erm, excuse me, but I care for one!!

The 'leave early whatever's happening' brigade are being disrespectful and do NOTHING to assist the team when they (often) need it most, i.e. towards the end of a tight game....

Snobbery?? I don't see 'snobbery' and I think YOU should moderate your writing to include words that fit the comment

MY SUPPORT (and that of others who stay for 90 mins+) IS NOT IN DOUBT BUT THEIRS IS!!

Just my opinion....but one bourne out of frustration at the motives of others support :?:

Re: HOW MANY EMPTY SEATS NEXT SEASON ?

I thought that this topic more to do with the fact that seats are empty due to non attendance rather than fans leaving early. :)

Agree that CCS have to do something about the no show. I currently sit in the Family stand, i take my son with me, To be honest he goes to all Saturday/Sunday matches and selected Mid week games as long it falls on half term, YES because it is a school night otherwise. :)

On the games he has been missing i have tried to upgrade my ticket in the family stand, so the wife could attend but was told i was unable to because they were Catogory A games (Leeds/Swansea/Millwall) which was dissapointing because it was sold out and hence why the seat was empty.

I was told by the ticket office that they could be a sell back option this forcoming season , which is a really good idea and for fans who don't turn up, week in week out the club will send letters of warning stating that they may have to move to another area of the stadium.

I have to say that i am pretty proud of the club and the way they have improved match days for families and long may it continue. So looking forward to the new season/manager/players and another attempt to get to the premiership.

Our attendances are going up every season! So let's keep it going and get even bigger crowds in next season. :ayatollah:
