The longer it's taking, and it is taking a long time, the more and more I fear the worst. Robins doesn't fill me with any kind of confidence at all

It's an analogy with horse racing and these two bucks haven't run a classic trial in their careers. So, I wouldn't put any money on them crossing the line in the frame.
