When Hughton was promoted with Newcastel They had a Top 10 Premership side.
So if he came to Cardiff would he be any good ????

They had a top ten Premiership side?
Last I checked teams in the top ten of the prem don't get relegated...

I think he did a good job at Newcaste. People can say he had a Premier league team, but they weren't in the Premier league, they were in free fall and Hughton sorted them right out.
He's also a top class coach by all accounts and that could benefit us. He'll get my full support.

Hughton did have a great squad in the championship with Newcastle, but he still got them playing some fantastic football, and that season they had the best home record of all the divisions. With any squad, taking over 100 points is a ridiculously hard task, and he managed to do it with 50,000 odd geordies on his back week in, week out. He then had them holding their own in the Premiership and (I think we all will reach a consensus on this), he was unfairly sacked by that fat tw*t Mike Ashley.
We need a young manager. Surely he isn't completely proven, but he did a fantastic job at Newcastle and I definately think that he should be given the chance.

Hughton got Newcastle promoted when they were on the brink of a massive collapse. Financially unsecure and risked ending up like teams such as Charlton, Southampton and Leeds.
Hughton did very well to get them straight back up and he did while under Mike Ashley. I'd happily see him here. Breath of fresh air and hopefully we can start playing consistantly good football next season.
