The PMG Syndrome

Sat Jun 04, 2011 9:05 am

I have noticed over the last few days that the allegations of Pmg raping the club etc have reached new heights.
I have a feeling that these posters are suffering from a disease called Post Mortgage Gripe or in short PMG Syndrome.

There is a cure for this disease but it is only applicable to mortgage holders.
You must write to your bank/building society initially expressing your gratitude to them for lending you the shortfall of money between the deposit you put down on your house and the selling price which has enabled you to house your family.
The next step then is to inform them that now some 2 years on you have realised that a significant amount of your income is being taken to pay off this loan.
The next step is to take it to the extreme level and tell them that although you initially appreciated the loan when needed you now feel as though you are being raped by them and that ultimately you think they should just write the debt off totally.
I must warn you that this projected cure is in its infancy and there have been a considerable number of rejections.
but hey nothing ventured nothing gained so good luck to any applicants for the cure :ayatollah:

natman

the trouble is that this board has pushed forward with some agenda's and that has now spilled over into the echo.
A lot of that information has been supplied by one person( ex chairman) who has in my opinion used the board to promote the possibility of bringing himself back to the club.
There have been ridiculous attacks on Paul Guy ranging from raping the club for amounts ranging from 30 to 80 million pounds.
Now we all have our opinions but when you make those statements you should substantiate them with facts and in paul guys example a simple look at his audited accounts blows that theory out of the water.
As much as i enjoy this board and the banter some times it only seems to function if its bearing bad news or making unsubstantiated attacks on people like Pmg.
As i said on an earlier thread we are lucky to have someone to invest in the club bearing in mind where we were 18 months ago under ridsdales stewardship.
If Pmg had not put up the money to complete the stadium project we might still be at ninian park and either in admin or liquidation.
One thing is certain dato would not have touched us with a barge pole if we were not based at the CCS.

Steve
we all know what the agenda's are here regarding 2013.
With regards to mike hall its my opinion that he is going to keep an eye on Pmg's interests and also as the old western prospectors used to say" there's gold in them there hills"

sorry steve missed this

with regards to 2013 im talking about the projected gambling license being awarded to vt in malaya.
To own a premiership team at that time would give him a bargaining chip with sky and the television rights etc.
remember they like their franchises with Mc Donalds, starbucks and krispy kreme doughnuts to name but a few.
thats the reason i still think we will be going for it this season

Annis. Of course you are allowed to express your opinions and make comments.Everyone is , and reasoned debate is healthy.

Where Steve and others (including me) are critical is when you convert those opinions into statements as if they are facts when they clearly are not.

The recent example was when you claimed as a fact (not an opinion) that PMG had benefitted by £80m out of CCFC and had not put a penny into the club. Both of these statements were quite obviously wrong and , in the second case , you clearly knew it to be wrong. Yet you still have not retracted that claim even after it has been clearly evidenced to be wrong and that leads people to believe there is another agenda to making such claims.

If you had just said that someone had told you about the £80m figure but you hadn`t checked it out yourself , and said that you had forgotten that you knew PMG had put their £millions into the club , it wouldn`t have created an argument over "agendas" at all.

Steve Davies, but I was replying to the ever critical Natman, about his FAMOUS WORD AGENDA [/quote]

but when the stance you take a constantly push is sooooooo far from the actual events of things. and then when you demonise some people and hold others up as saints when the turth is also so far from that then yes. I got to say it does seem agendas are being pushed.

Answer simple yes or no then;

Is there an agenda to post Sam in a positive light?
Is there an agenda to paint the current management of the club in a negative light with a view to paving the way for a sam return?
Is there an agenda to put 'spin' on the inofrmation you are giving the message board in order to achieve either of the above?

You keep saying that i'm ever critical. I'm asking the question. If there has been anyone who has been ubber critical in is often yourself in regards to certain memebrs of the management of the club. I'm simply posing the questions to you? so what is it? At least give me the credit that I'm asking and aksing directly!

further to the above when I have questioned your motives previously (as that is all I am doing - NOT SNIPING!) then the post has been deleted and I ahve been banned. Which to me seems to only add fuel to the fire of my suspicions.
