you should have said then.

Established Prem sides don't generally give jobs to young up and coming British managers.

I fully appreciate there's no sentiment in football as we were sorely taught by Martinez.

However, as I said, established Prem clubs very rarely give jobs to up and coming young British managers (Everton and Moyes is the only one Ican think of off the top of my head). Also, Rodgers has been bitten once by jumping ship when the grass seemed greener so he may, just may, think twice if such an offer were to come.

My advice to you is to do everything you can to get Paul Tisdsale from Exeter. A hungry young up and coming manager with an excellent record behind him already who plays good football.

More chance of taking advice from a syringe filled with heroin.

Di Matteo

Reasons

Not afraid to use an unusual formation 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-2-1

He insists his teams play football on the ground rather than hoof ball.

He is honest when talking to the press, even if he has to admit the team played bad.

He can mould a team together and teach them quickly.

He likes to play counter attacking football.

I wouldn't be gutted if we got Hughton as hes still a very good manager but my preference would be Di Matteo :D

whats your view on the situation?

That would be fine and dandy if you had the players to suit his style but you don't.

I agree atm we dont but we have an extremely small squad anyway. We could easily sign about 10 players before the transfer window closes. We just need to bring in a manager quickly to give them time to scout the market.

A few of our players would suit it and there are some free's with pace who'd suit in an attacking sense. We need a battling midfielder, no question about that. It'll all depend on how he works the market, the attitude of the players and how well he can get them to adapt to the styles. I mean, Adam Matthews would have been perfect in a counter attacking sense under Di Matteo but to Jones and his way of thinking, he was worthless. I have faith in someone like Di Matteo bringing the best out of players just as Hodgson has done at West Brom.
