People are drooling over Hughton but can't stand the thought of us getting Mark Hughes?! CRAZY! Hughes is 10 times the manager Hughton is! Newcastle arguably have a squad better than Fulham and look where Hughton was taking Newcastle this season and look where Hughes took Fulham! Same with Hughes's Balckburn team and how Hughes in his first ever managerial job took a Welsh team to a game away from getting to a Championship! C'mon! Hughes would be an amazing coup for our club!

I wouldn't mind either, people should stop moaning!

Arguably they don't given Newcastle got relegated.
Same with Hughes's Balckburn team
Where sizeable money was spent...

Two games. Where he got the tactics wrong. And sandwiched one undefeated year with two of the worst ever in Welsh history.
C'mon! Hughes would be an amazing coup for our club!

if you want to appoint a guy who is tactically rigid ( Jones - 442, Hughes - 451), quits for pastures new when he feels he can get a better job, never actually achieves... sure.

100% spot on!! Hughes has more experience and has done far more than hughton! Hughton was presented with a very good championship squad on a plate, he didn't have to build! In my eyes hughton is a huge risk and not one we can afford to take!

I believe Newcastle were above Fulham at the time of Hughtons dismissal

As for the board being crazy, thats why we all love it

Got to admit Hughton does not excite me as much as Hughes. I would prefer O'Neill though. Saying that I would not mind O'Driscoll. If we fail to get any of these then I will just stand back and see what the new guy does.

good point by nerd bout hughes blowing his chance of making history with wales(having a tactical meltdown on the big occassion who does that remind you of(.Im leaning towards o driscoll he did wonders with donny on a basically non existent budget, got them playing some fantastic flowing football(considered the arsenal of the championship at one point)and with the players and hiopefully financial backing from the malaysians ,i believe hes the man for us.

The only crazy thing is that anyone seriously beleives Mark Hughes has left a well paid Premiership job to come to us.

When Hughes was in charge of Wales it was his first managerial job, he was always going to make mistakes. He did a good job at Blackburn (he didn't have that much money to spend) was harshly sacked from Man City and despite having his best striker injured for the majority of the season managed Fulham to a higher placed finish and collected more points than the fabulous Roy Hodgson managed last season.
We could do a lot worse than Mr Hughes.
