what are the thoughts on Paul Tisdale,

the current odds on him are now up to 8-1 , up to 3rd in the running.

is he the sort of character we want?

or is he lacking in the experience required?

thoughts?

I agreed to what you said in a previous post mate,

If we have big plans to get into the premier league then we need a big manager to get there

I totally believe that tisdale is not the right man for us at this moment in time.

no i agree gabbs, just saw his name flying up the odds list and wanted peoples views...

weve been linked with many managers over the last two days and no doubt will continue to be upto and over the weekend...

If i remember correctly the Jacks were very interested in him at one point.

He's young, ambitious and could be brilliant for us!

he's my number 1 choice for the job, and i'd be thrilled if he got it. His record with exeter is unbelievable, he got to the league 2 play offs in his first year and lost in the final, then he was forced to sell his best players and came back the following year and got promoted! Then last year exeter missed the league 1 play offs by one point, only because they had 3 points deducted. Also he was the jacks first choice before rodgers last year but he turned them down! If u read what the exeter fans say about him, they play excellent football and he is not afraid to make brave tactical moves and subs which often prove successful

interesting post humble,

looking back to the beginning of his managerial career , he got bath city promoted two years consecutive also.. with 4 promotions in total.

i also didnt realise he extended the leagues record with exeter of back to back defeats to 125 matches!

a better candidate than i first thought..

sky sports classed him as one of the league managers of the year , and he is renowned for playing short tidy football...

he does have a good case,
maybe not the high profile caliber , but certainly the appetite and ambition...

Blackwood, not only that but if we go for a big name manager we'll realistically have to gamble again (as i cant see a big name coming here with not much to spend) but if we go for tisdale i see this as an excellent opportunity to change the culture of our club so that we can push for promotion without it being a shit or bust situation, and we can quietly build our squad and build a good youth set up, and bring in young hungry players from the lower divisions :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Lets hope the board are giving him serious consideration.

We have to get the right for the job, not necessarily a big name.
