But Routledge apart there wasnt anyone on or near Jays wages Aherne. But my point is there are better out there and on less wages as well. Holt, Sinclair, Dyer, Jackson, And nearly every QPR player .

I can understand your feelings but in the same manner have you forgotten what Jay did for us up until mid-December when Chopra was injured and Bellers not fit

Without him we simply wouldn't have had a sniff at the play-offs never mind the auto spot.

No denying he didn't perform toward the end of the season (except the odd game like QPR, Jacks, etc) but I just don't see how someone can go from, arguably, our best player to our worst in the matter of 3-4 months Yes he was wrong to go out with Chops, etc but at least he wasn't drinking and of all those who did go out, he desrves a second chance because of that.

Bottom line is to replace him with any level of quality will cost £3m+ and at least £10-12k per week. weigh that up against no transfer fee and around £14k a week for Jay and the sums do start to make sense

Jay is always a player who will divide opinion but until someone can come up with a cheaper, better option I'd have him back in the blink of an eye

Yes but they are now in the Prem and we are not. You earn your money or you should. But i bet these players wont be on much more than 14k. i can see Swansea keeping a wage cap all be it a bit higher.
