Good news!, here's hoping there's some quality applicants in there that want to manage us!

thats encouraging news that managers have put themselves forward, it shows that they are looking at us now in a different view.

lets hope they dont see us as big wage players and are only coming for a great lifestyle and a fat pay check...

lets hope they show passion and enthusiasm for our club....

id love to see a manager sprinting down the touch line when we score etc...

You'll always get managers who apply for jobs.

What's important is whether they are all ( or the majority are ) quality applicants.

No doubt Roberto Di Matteo is on the list. I was just talking to a Sheff Utd fan and by all accounts Roberto applied for the Utd job before Danny Wilson got the job. He discussed wage/transfer budgets with them and then he lost interest....

Wasn't long ago when the pro-Jones brigade was stating that we wouldn't have a better manager than Jones even applying for the position. MUGS!!

Can't we stop this pathetic Jones in/out Brigade/mob nonsense even now he's gone????

I accept there were a few who supported DJ who had this ridiculous view that we wouldn't be able to replace him with someone as good or better.

But I'm sure many more like myself recognised that there were many good quality applicants out there who would be only too glad to manage us.

Please don't make such stupid generalisations.

The club has come a long way but are we approaching clubs to talk to their managers.

I don't think that is likely, club wont have the money to Pay DJ, pay a new manager and pay compo for a new manager.

And yet weren't there a few naysayers on here only a couple of weeks ago stating that should City be stupid enough to sack a manager with Jones ability, , that no other managers would touch us with a bargepole.... Where are they now?

i have taken Merthyr town to the prem an kept them up for two seasons now and won the league cup on football manager 11 , i think i should apply lol

That really is an impressive number lets hope that most of those have premier league experience and are able to get this club promotion.

I just hope the club take their time with our next manager appointment and I am sure VT and TG will want to get the right man in for the job.

As their has been and will be interviews for the job I hope they announce the new manager in sometime next week so that we can start building a team to challenge for promotion.

I wouldn't I would have to been hands on, this is the most important decision they will make, THEY MUST GET IT RIGHT, YOU CAN COCK UP ON PLAYERS, BUT NOT THE MANAGER !!!!!!

I've been mulling this over too...

There is also a possibility that Tan sees this as the 'make or break' season for CCFC!!
Perhaps he will be splashing the cash a bit more this season, none of us really know
yet.

He certainly isnt going to turn round to managers like Curbishley, O'Neill and Hughton
and tell them to get busy in the loan market again... Seen it, bought the T shirt, didnt
work!!!

Everything certainly looks geared to a massive season for this Club, if as we all seem to
think, Tan has got the measure of Langstone and PMG... perhaps he'll not be worried
about pumping more money in than last season
