All aboad the Craig Bellamy train!!!!!!

Tue May 31, 2011 1:24 pm

Let's try and create the magic that Keegan did at Newcastle Utd.

Keegan and Bellamy have a lot in common!

Both dropped down a league to play for their local club when they could have stayed at the highest level.

Keegan was not a great coach. He failed with England.

But at Newcastle he was able to create magic just based on passion and drive.

I see a lot of people calling for Chris Hughton to get the Cardiff job.

Hughton had a squad full of Prem stars. He had a deffence worth of 20 million in transfer fees. Joey Barton and Alan Smith were both on over £60,000 a week. Kevlin Nolan was on £50,000.

Hughton took a Prem team back to the Prem.

Keegan didn't have that. He took over a Newcastle team and saved them from falling into the 3rd tier of English football.

Next season they when the league. In his 2nd full season Newcastle finished 3rd in the Prem.

Craig could be our Keegan. He could create a buzz about the club. His drive and passion for Cardiff City could rub off all the players.

I think drive and passion is what the club has been missing the last couple of years.

There was NO drive and passin against Boro and Reading.

Give Bellamy a player/coaching/manager role and lets see if we can re-create the what Keegan was able to do at Newcastle Utd! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I lost interest when you associated Bellamy to Keegan, the biggest bottler in football management. Id love it, Id really love it for Bellers not to be like him.

Re: All aboad the Craig Bellamy train!!!!!!

A 3rd and 2nd place finnish in the Prem and the guy has no bottle? Euro player of the year twice in a row.

Come back when Bellers has done a 10th of what Keegan has done in football.

You new to football? Every Cardiff fan would cut off his balls to see Cardiff come close to what Keegan did with Newcastle Utd in the early 1990s.

He also took Man City from the 2nd div back to the Prem.

You don't have a f*cking clue of about football.

Yeah, you're right.

Craig came out and said he was ready/didn't want to yet. I don't blame him though, he's still in his playing prime and could do a job in most Premiership teams. Perhaps in the future he could do us a job, but right now the best he could do for us is get back down here for another season.

Laugh all you want.

Keegan has done a lot more as a manager than Hughton and everyone else still in the running to be manager.

Nice response, he is a shithouse in footballing management and Id bet you not one club would touch him today.

Oh I forgot, except you because your an expert on football.

He retired after taking Man City from the 2nd Div to mid table in the Prem.

Then came back and took a shitty Newcastle Utd from close to the bottom to 12th.

Again, I never said Keegan should be manager.

I SAID THAT MAYBE BELLAMY COULD HAVE THE SAME IMPACT ON THE CLUB AS DID KEEGAN DID.

You then said no thanks cos Keegan has no bottle? Is this simply based on that he failed to win the Prem?

Keegan is such a f*cking loser! Let's give him no credit for turning a team that nearly went down to the old 3rd Div and become the 2nd best team in the UK within 4 years.

We don't want the 'Keegan effect' here in Cardiff!

Like I already said, you know f**k all about football.

We have the Keegan effect in a twisted sort of way as we have been the nearly team & that is what Keegan had created in his time of management.

Of course you know everything about football being the big boss man eh, wise up fool.

You sir, are a clef of the highest order!

Re: All aboad the Craig Bellamy train!!!!!!

LOL at nearly team!

2ND BEST IN THE COUNTRY!

You are trying to compare the 'Keegan effect' to what Dave Jones did? f*cking HELL! No, it's not the same! IT'S NOT EVEN IN THE SAME LEAGUE!

Get it?

If we were able to re-create the 'Keegan effect' and get to the Prem then that would be a success!

Just for your information Keegan uses the word "retired" for the Gullible like you, in reality he has walked out of every job. The point I was making is Keegan is a nearly man as like the City is a nearly club.

I think you should apply for the City job, you know everything.........

Re: All aboad the Craig Bellamy train!!!!!!

Tue Jun 07, 2011 1:10 pm

More BLAH BLAH BLAH.....

For the record he quit Newcastle Utd after he believed he had gone as far as he could.

Quit Fulham for England.

Quit England when he believed he wasn't up to the job - He didn't wait to be sacked and get a big pay off.

Retired from Man City at the end of his contract.

Was sacked from Newcastle Utd and took them to court after they they claimed he had quit and got a year pay off.

Again, it looks like you don't have a clue what you are talking about.

But I guess we all knew that after you tried to put on par what DJ did with what Keegan did by finishing 2 points behind Man Utd.

Re: All aboad the Craig Bellamy train!!!!!!

Tue Jun 07, 2011 1:19 pm

This isn't about Keegan - This is 'KEEGAN EFFECT'.

The ability of a manager to make things happen based on drive and passion.

Keegan at Newcastle Utd in the early 1990s is that best example of this.

Today, both Liverpool and Celtic have turned to former playing legends to bring back the drive and passion within their teams.

Mark Hughes had the 'Keegan effect' when he first started with Wales.

I didnt put him on a par with DJ, you did. I said he was a nearly man alike CCFC and you stated exactly what I said. Keegan=Quitter, all your doing is twisting things around and making yourself look even more ridiculous Mr I Know everythingaboutfootball.

We have the Keegan effect in a twisted sort of way as we have been the nearly team & that is what Keegan had created in his time of management. - YOUR f*cking WORDS! I didn't twist anything.

DJ's run at Cardiff was nothing like what Keegan did at Newcastle.

Unless you call a 2nd or 3rd place finish is the Prem as failure?

If that's failure then I was we failed every year!

I must take a step back.

Lack of sleep due to a teething baby.

Let's start again..........

We lacked drive and passion last season - Not just last season, it's been AWOL for years.

The Keegan effect is all about playing with drive, passion and pride.

Bellamy in a coaching role could of created the 'Keegan effect', but that's not going to happen.
