DONT RESIGN BELLAMY

Mon May 30, 2011 5:32 pm

Now I'm one of craigs biggest fans, I love the bloke and he was awesome last year! But bearing in mind that money is tight and we would have to spend a few million to sign him, plus his wages, I think it could be money better spent on hiring a good manager and on 3-4 players! Our squad is paper thin and bellers isn't getting any younger and is prone to injuries! In an ideal world I'd live him here but I think it's time to be sensible and build a solid squad instead of chasing star names! Thoughts?

But he is a born leader and motivates others around him. He would be great to have around with new inexperienced players around him. :ayatollah:

agree like yourself i would love bellamy back here next season but certainly not for a high transfer fee or his wages, where you rightly say they could 3 -4 top players,i hope the board have sense though and do a deal where we pay him if we get promoted

I agree but one man doesn't make a team, if we gave a shit manager, and a shit squad then Craig won't be able to do much! He's my all time favourite city player but we need a strong squad next year or we will struggle

Spot on Adam...if he is willing to take such a cut...we have to sign him IMO

i personally think that if craig had not come to the club we would be stuck with jones yet again.
craig has opened the malaysians eyes to the football clubs management, training and preperation which was in his opinion league two standard.
if we want to be premier league we have to train and prepare like premier league which means we have to have a manager who watches our opponents.
we have to have a manager who sits down with the players prior to a game and anyalises our forthcoming opponents strengths and weaknesses.
we have to have a manager who when the players step out of line disciplines them in a way that they will think twice befpre direspecting the club, its management and fans.
we have just got rid of a manager who was incapable of any of the above.

Fully agree. As much as I loved having Bellamy at out club you have got to question whether it was good value for money. Now I would definitely say the Jacks got value for money with Sinclair (and with Borini).

er what ?

You don't want Bellamy to resign ??

Or do you not want City to "re-sign" him ??

Two completely different statements
