Or just another manager who runs away when the cheque book is taken away from him!

Martin Oneill has to be the number 1 choice - I really hope there's some legs to this rumour!

Is that the same villa team that have an abundance of young decent british players in their squad.

martin o'neil is a lover of young players being brought through into a club but very stubborn which either works very well or could be a disaster.

that all came through as soon as Oneil left and the youth coach took over
Ciaran Clark and Marc Albrighton two good examples of players who instantly came into the team as soon as Oneil was removed.

Others like Young, Downing, Delph he paid massive money for which to me is not the same situation.

Villa with O'neil 6th + League Cup final

Villa without 9th and 9 points from relegation.

He is a great manager, not to sure he'll be here though.

Please, dear God, no. We need a young, up and coming manager with new ideas, not another Dave Jones.

He's a talented guy.

Managed to be in both Malaysia AND Florida at the same time.

The guy quit Villa due to not receiving squillions. What makes you think he'll drop to the champ with far, far less money available to spend?

As i have said in the past there is no better manager in football for us than martin o'neill he has the knowledge to bring in players the passion to kick start the existing players (all 10 of them) and the experience of top level football no one else can do for us what he can WE MUST HAVE HIM!!!! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Yet he's been content not to work.

Which is telling in itself.

Clearly wants to cherry pick the role, ie top half Prem, plenty of money to spend.

No, Id love to have him here. He has the profile that the club needs to move forward, be intersting if Craig would be working along side him as a coach.
