why D.J cant stay

Sat May 28, 2011 9:10 am

he has had what he wants in the way of players and trainning facillities,he hasnt delivered, sadly we have missed out yet again.the money seems not available to purchase or pay wages of players that D.J wants.we need to bring in players from the youth and develope these players, something D.J sadly seems unable to do.its time for a change of manager, sorry but for me D.J has had his chance :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Agreed Kevin there has to be a change of the club's policy and DJ, for me, would not fit into the plans.

Personally I think there will be money made available to bring in a squad to challenge again. I dont think we will reach the premiership by 2013, which is the Malaysians aim, by bringing in youth players unless we find an exceptional manager who can do this. So to me it is the investment route but this time someone who will deliver.

Could last season have been a masterstroke?

Why? Well for the following reasons:

1) If we had been promoted then the squad would certainly not have been good enough to maintain our PL position. By bringing in loan players we would not have had any long term contracts to curtail and compensate. We would have been left in a strong position to strengthen and kick on.

2) As we were not promoted then the squad was certainly not good enough to be awarded with a PL position. By bringing in loan players we do not have any long term contracts to curtail and compensate. Have we been left in a strong position to strengthen and kick on?

Admittedly we do not have a manager who could install an ethic of 'standing strong as a team'. We had a bunch of individuals who for the most part played that way, as self obsessed individuals - they needed to all stand together as one (e.g. Norwich). We need a change in either the Manager or in coaching staff so that this mindset can be installed into whatever squad we have at the start of next season.

One thing is for sure though. The investors and the board are not wiggling their proverbial thumbs at the moment. They have a business to run (in Cardiff City) and run it they will. Afterall they do seem to have a decent record in this area.
