In my opinion when someone is on over £130,000 what comes with that wage is personal responsiblity for your depeartment. Had it happened in the private sector there would be no way of her possibly getting this kind of money.

Fired by a corrupt government pandering to the media storm. At the end of the day, her role was to make the policies et al, it was those thick as pig shit social workers dealing with the case who majorly f***ed up who should be the ones taking the full blame.

And the actual social workers who f***ed up?

Oh wait, just penalise the one at the top. Because those poor workers at the bottom, wasn't really their fault,eh?

A lot of people f**ed up in that case. Shoesmith was the convenient scapegoat.

Yeah, it's typical public sector with their 'we're not paid enough to give a shit' attitude, the blame just went higher and higher with individuals refusing to take the blame when in fact it was pretty much everyone except Shoesmith who fucked up at some point.
