A School in London has banned all form of contact between Pupils. No hugs no high fives or handshakes because the school seems to think it will give respect amongst Pupils and stop Bullying if there is no contact between Pupils. What utter f*cking garbage what it will do is make those Pupils distant from other people into adult hood.

What do these Lefties think they are going to achieve to tell other people how to react, what they can and can't do. Tell us what is safe and what is not, and what is decent behaviour and what is not. These people i would not put in charge of animals let alone Children. I once heard it said there should be a minister of common sense to overturn utter Bollocks like this.

It would be a good idea for a minister of common sense to be appointed but unfortunately that would mean the goverment appoint them.
I work in regulations and legislation ever day and i love my jod but i agree commen sense is not used and when it is it's questioned by bureaucracy.

Let all get a grip and do what is right not what we think is wrong or what we are told is wrong.

It's absolutely crazy, but it's not leftie bullshit. It's a completely crazy system that we have in place right now though, and all three political parties that have any influence in the UK are pretty damn similar! The economy is about to start going downhill again so we're all screwed anyway.

The school system, whilst better than 10-15 years ago, still needs to be radically overhauled (And not with these stupid free schools). We need to try and go back to a grammar school/secondary school system. The all-inclusive secondary school system that we have now is seriously undermining the bright kids from poorer backgrounds who would have a chance to study in a much better environment if they had the chance of grammar school (I'm not suggesting we go back to a shit or bust 11+ exam, but something similar with some regular assessment would be good). Kids need to be taught the basics, yes, but they also need to have the choice of taking more vocational courses that could prepare them for work in the "real" world.

On the actual subject of this thread, that story is absolutely pathetic, though I doubt it's actually true. The media in this country do like to take a tiny segment of truth and blow it completely out of proportion until it actually sounds crazy. Meh, that's stuff like the Daily Mail for you...
