A forum for all things Cardiff City

Talking about bloody prospective managers any more - nobody at the club is listening, nobody gives a hoot. We have a manager at the club called Dave Jones and that's all that matters to them (the board) by the sounds of it!
I mean come on who are we to argue, all we are - are the fans! The very people that makes this club tick over, with out us there is no club, but hey f**k it, nobody cares what these 23,000 odd fans think that turn up every week, spending thousands of pounds every season!
Do we get a say? does anybody listen when we say "all we want is a bloody statement from the club confirming their intent" for the rest of the season. Once again, we will get caught at the back of the queue, when all these FREE transfers pass us by, because lets face it, Dave Jones isn't going to get alot of money to spend is he? So surely now - WE (the fans) NEED the club to speak up now, and tell us what the hell is going on - so we, and them can push on and begin to put the pieces of last season back together and start looking for new playing personnel - and get our cast off's shipped out!
As far as I'm concerned - Dave Jones is and will be our manager next season - like it or lump it! We will struggle to make the playoff's unless something happens upstairs regarding finances.
We all know - Jones is probably going nowhere as this is all wishful thinking. Look back at last season - when we went on a Baron spell - The Leeds game was apparently a Win or "walk" game for Jones - (according to reports on this very forum) then there was the Win or Walk game at Millwall away - where once again we lost a good lead and (looking back) a VERY important 2 pts - But NOPE - Jones was still here - so IF he was going to go - It would already have been done. So lets just get used to the fact - that we CAN NOT afford to pay Jones off, HE can not afford to just walk away, So we are going to have to back him again (well - some of us).
Dave Jones has thicker skin than that slimey tw*t Ridsdale, and it will take more than just a few moaning fans to get rid of him, but a message to you Jonesy : If you want to appease the fans next season - get the Academy blossoming, Get the Reserve team back up and running, pay some f*cking attention as to what your players are up to, and put your bloody golf clubs down long enough to open a big bloody book of tactics and get us a team of players that can play to a plan B! oh, and one more thing - Start speaking to the local media if you want to regain any respect from the public of SOUTH WALES!
"people in this part of the world" are not 100% fixed on being first or being the best! WE just want you and players to give 100%, wear your hearts on your sleeves, and show just a tiny fraction of the passion that Craig Bellamy gave us last season!
that is all - thank you.

Could the problem be that the Malaysians don't actually know what too do now?

Let's see what pans out following talks between DJ and the board this week.
Inevitably when there are large sums of money involved there is going to be a fair amount of horse trading.
I am still confident that in the interest of both parties the right decision will be reached, ie DJ to step aside.
I agree though, it needs to happen sooner rather than later.

Boycott the first home game will send a message right across the media.
The main thing is you can say the dressing room is divided then so are the fans.
So, unless us fans can get it together first then thers no real hope of any type of worthwhile demonstration.
The fat scouse prick has even managed that or learned it from Ridsdale.
Divide and Conquer eh?
I'm prepared to demo outside his house every Sunday morning with Dai Hunt

I doubt it. They haven't made millions by backing failures.
In fact the term failure is a slightly harsh one for Jones, as he has achieved much during his tenure but clearly he is not the man to take us over the line.

Even if the club come out and say - "look - we're sticking by Jones, and we will look to strengthen the squad very soon"
at least we know the first major part of the jigsaw is in place (which would be to a lot of our fans disarray) but it tells us at least who the manager will be -
but yet nothing. So im assuming - nothing will be changing.

It's not a Harsh word to judge him with - considering his backing, the wages, the players, the stadium and the fans!
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING - that keeps costing us games, pts and promotions - is the fact that in what over 250 games under Jones we go a goal behind - and then tend to LOSE the game. 10 or 11 times over his whole reign over the club so far, have we come back from a goal down to win!
THAT IS SHOCKING! You can't argue with those stats against Jones, it's been the same since he's been here - and will remain the same until he has gone, because he just doesn't have the correct mindset and tactics as well as the motivation to pass on to the players to over come this terrible factor!

Can't really disagree with those stats. DJ is good to a point but I would agree that amongst all of the good things he's done at CCFC, there are some major flaws in his management style. I will give you very very long odds that he will never admit to them though.

I don't doubt the Malaysians business acumen, but when it comes to association football its a slightly different "ball game".
Don't you think that, in respect, that they may feel that they have bitten off more than they want too chew with regards to Cardiff City AFC???

Swansea are an association football club! we are Just CCFC
I dont think the Malaysians will quit now - They've come to far, but they had better start making some decisions VERY quickly!
how about a 51% share in the club ?

Good post Craig. But your post sounds like every City fan !! on one big downer. The lack of any words from the owners is deafening.
We need something to cling onto and whilst Jones is still hanging on then we have nothing to smile about

After renewing my season ticket, im really disapointed by the boards lack of action. Its the same old same old at the moment. It feels like a chore watching City. And if truth be told, i havnt enjoyed watching City for well over a year now. But its a bug, i have to watch them.
