" WORRYING TIMES FOR CARDIFF CITY FC "

I like many of you, are getting extremely concerned of the clubs current situation. No statement has been released from the malaysians or anybody at the club really. Just complete silence since the reading game. I have learnt that we are far more than 60 million in debt. I have learnt that the malaysians are not backing DJ and in total shock we did not get promoted. This to me signals that even if a new manager comes in we WONT get money to really challenge next season.

We cant even get rid of our manager, its as if he controls the club and is the main boss. Its pathetic and ridiculous.
With the possibility of Neil Warnock leaving QPR...If West Ham end up snapping him up..i wont just be gutted ill be furious. If the club has any ambition then lets get him in or another big name manager. Everyone talks about compensation to DJ?..Pay it..sack him...who cares..this is the future of the club we are talking about and surely VT can afford this.

We are seriously looking at mid table finish next season at BEST...but the danger signs are there that we could end up like preston/shefield united. Both of them clubs failed consecitvely in the play offs and that had a massive affect on the team/club this season. So much so they fell apart and couldnt lift the doom from the club. At this present moment, wether we like it or not, there is a big doom over our club. We need to start putting up a fight. Our fans dont deserve this, we deserve at least a statement. Surely with their investment the malaysians wont settle for a relegation/mid table fight next season?? We have been known for moving forward in the last few years as a club, however next season, i fear big steps backwards.

Someone needs to grip this club and take control, we have got NO footballing brain in charge above management level, and even the manager's footballing brain concerns me (DJ). Its time to seriously wake up. We need positive news and we need a new manager/era at this club. if not then we need to throw a few million in to DJ to get some quality defenders and a striker to replace Jay and maybe earnie to replace chops?

I Really do fear for next season folks..to have to rely on Jon Parkin...WE WILL END UP LIKE PRESTON..for god sake lets not loose this momentum..otherwise we are an embarrassment ..and it will be heartbreaking to start seeing us playing matches at an half full CCS

Sadly, your right. The club should be "clearing the decks" at the moment & planning ahead, in stead of acting like the upper class guests on the Titanic when it was sinking, more concerned with getting on a life boat with all their wealth in their pockets.
Dare i say it, but i can see only one out come the way things are going!

SPOT ON...I said to a few of my mates before the boro game...if we dont go up this year..it could cripple our club

Leadership is what is required. The Malaysians risk undoing all the good work and goodwill of last season if they aren't decisive and keep dragging their heels. If Jones is staying, say so and back him to the hilt again. If he's not, sack him and approach someone that they feel is capable of doing the job. A shortlist should have been drawn up if this is the case. If we don't back a new manager with good finances, then we won;t be getting any big name manager, we will be considered a mid-table Championship club at best. However, if we back a 'big name manager' with a healthy war chest, then we will be considered a go-ahead club still with ambitions on the Premiership. Otherwise the similarities between us and Sheffield United and Preston will be uncanny and continue to mount.

If they sack him then they wont pay him a penny until the last poss minute which could mean DJ actually taking CCFC to the high court for payment ........... I do believe that CCFC are in deep finacial shite again and their way of not paying up until the last min will eventually get them un-stuck !

with regards to DJ im glad the club are not making instant snap decisions, look at West Ham sacked Avram Grant straight after the game and cant find a manager, the club needs time to weigh up its options, but cant take too much time over it, if the club choose to back DJ he needs to be backed financially to go at promotion again, if the club chooses not to back DJ and get rid of him the club needs to act fast to get a manager with the pedigree to get us promotion. Promotion is and should be the main aim of the club, if DJ is still the best man for the job back him financially if he isnt whoever the club chooses to replace him should be backed financially aswell.

OLE OLE OLE OLE YOU'LL NEVER BAN, A CITY FAN. What will be, will be. Yes its very concerning times but we'll always have the City no matter in what capacity, I think the panick is exaggerated by the success of the Jacks and we seem to be left behind. If we go bust then so be it, we will rise from the ashes and come back kicking arse :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

agreed so much for the owners being the cats whiskers 12months ago  I knew what was comming when we got all the loans and 1player in kienan wasnt really squad building it was more in hope DJ would take us up but i also knew and many others he would fail us no matter what players hes got in front of him,But that didnt work so be prepared for a battle to stay in the league next year with a 10 contracted players we have atm and some freebies :ayatollah:

I reckon its time to go into administration, dont pay f**k all, and do a penny in a pound deal with all creditors......take a page out of the Jacks book. It worked for them.

And just hope the team can survive at least mid table

We have just over 17,000 season ticket holders next season, and i honestly believe a few thousand of these wont turn up every game if nothing is done about a new manager and team. And with a middle to bottom finish the following season will see our season ticket holders less than 10,000.

Now is the time for the Malaysians to seriously invest in A new manager and to rebuild the team maybe from the lower divisions with players who will have a bit of passion for the shirt and to play as a team, and not like individuals.

I think the problem is that if the Malaysians own 40% of the shares, they would expect the other 60% of the share holding to share the burden of paying off Dave Jones.

VT & TG might have it right. Sitting back and assessing the situation.
It's easy to sack a manager not too easy to find a decent replacement.
My guess is West Ham has plenty of interested candidates but the first question the likes of O’Neil ask is

What's the transfer and wage budget?

Peanuts is the reply.

The phone then goes down with a reply of don’t call me I’ll call you.

Some of the threads on this board are embarassing, this is one.

Reading was a week ago. Just one week.

Cardiff City are healthier now than they have been for many years. Yes, there
is debt, but so what? Man United are 800 million in debt. We have new people
at the helm who know exactly how to run a successful business, they are in the
process of a complete overhaul of this club. Things are looking good for fucks
sake. Vincent Tan has made his first mistake by backing David Jones after
Xmas, but then again, the team started to find a bit of form, so who can blame
him. He will not make the same mistake again. Jones is history, and the club
will go forward under new management with a new set of players... much the
same as Warnock did at QPR.

So we should be worried by what exactly?? the fact that Vincent Tan is sitting
back and thinking about his next move. Id prefer that to the bullshit and
soundbites we've had for years of Sam and then the riddler.

NOW is the time is it?? today, tomorrow?? Having seen the way Tan operates so far, has
he given you reason to think he's just going to carry on with what he's got???
