Thank you Craig Bellamy

One particularly disappointing aspect of tonight is that we may not see Craig Bellamy in a City shirt again.

I know what he has said himself and we all hope that some way can be found of getting him back here next season but if that's not to be then can I just say a big THANK YOU to a player who has, certainly over the past couple of months, almost single handedly tried to drag this club out of this division.

I'm sure he is hurting as much as we are this evening and I've no doubt at all that this season must have been quite an eye opener for him.

Thanks Craig. Good luck with the rest of your career and let's hope our paths cross again sooner rather than later.

if a lot of you are honest with yourselves it wasn't that long ago that you were saying that Bellamy was a waste of money, so why all of a sudden you lot think hes the best thing since sliced bread makes me laugh.up until the game against us you lot couldn't stop slagging him off, so a hand full of games make him a world beater no.but don't forget Dave Jones even went on record and said we want see the best of Craig until the later stage of the season he wasn't that far off the mark was he

He- no, it - really doesn't though.

There were concerns about Bellamy's form towards the start of his spell here but those of us with any sense were more than aware of his injury problems and even then he was still one of our better players.

Anyone who tried to say he was a waste of money is clearly quite deluded but frankly, I don't think anyone did.
