chin Up Chaps

I am disappointed, very disappointed for all of you, decent footballing supporters, knowledgeable and mostly gracious have in my view been let down this season by the people that you worship and idolise. People like Chopra, Bothroyd and Samuel should hang their heads in shame with some of their off field behaviour, paid sums that most could only dream of and to play for a team that each of you love dearly.

Next season will present a far harder challenge in my opinion, West Ham will be a tough team to beat, Brighton and Southampton will have the potential to emulate both Norwich and Leeds, who themselves will no doubt be stronger. It will be tough, but I suspect, once the disappointment has melted away, you will begin to enjoy yourselves, probably more than we will, and who knows, if the right appointments are made, and the right players are recruited, (full time), you may see your team lift that glorious trophy.

The support of Cardiff City is premier league, let's just hope that your class of 2011/2012 shows that they can match you.

Have a great summer one and all. For me now, it is time for cricket.

Warnock is staying put, more shite from shite tabloids. Meetings this week to discuss transfer targets. As for comparing the enjoyment of the PL to the Championship? No comparison. The Championship is what the first division used to be like, The PL I suspect will be not very enjoyable. It is not a sport, how can it be a sport when the top four positions for next season has already been decided? Tickets will be almost twice as expensive, players even more mercenary. I have had a great season, been to 41 games home and away, travelled 1,000's of miles with my daughter, (she even managed to get to Barnsley on a Tuesday night, having to get a train from Cheltenham at 5.10pm after a photoshoot and missed the only goal, despite being only three minutes late!) These types of memories will not happen in the PL. And as someone put it so starkly earlier, enjoy Sunderland or Wolves away on a Sunday afternoon or Monday night! Hmmmmmmm. The PL is not a football tournament it is a circus. I will definitely miss the Football League, because that is where the real teams and the real supporters are.

I will continue to frequent this board, unless there are some conscientious objectors and I am sure Stan will do the same, and I also look forward to my next visit to the CCS.

Sad to see West Ham get relegated. As a kid, my Nan and Aunt used to live next door to Alan Devonshire. During those years both us and West Ham were decent second division sides, we used to stuff them at home and the reverse used to occur at the Bolyen. Remember one Christmas, Dev got both myself and my bother a signed football from the Hammers 1980 cup final winning side, neither of us greatly impressed and used the balls to kick around!

Happy days.

As a mate of mine on the train said to me coming home if it was about the football we wouldnt be here, we started watching in the old 4th division crowds of 2,500, it was all about the scene, the friends you made and the music and fashion, Sadly it wasnt to be tonight but we will regroup and be back next year. Enjoy the cricket and hope to see you back posting here soon. regards :ayatollah:

If some of our players put as much effort into playing as what our fans do week in week out with travelling, supporting our team they've loved for years, then we would be walking the league.

CITY 'TIL I DIE!

I will always remember my first trip to Loftus Road in 93(My uncle's friend used to run the club shop) so our junior football team had a training session in the morning with coaches/players(Ferdinand, Peacock etc) then went to the game- Not much change in the ground since then really.
