A forum for all things Cardiff City

Its only wishful thinking, but with a one in four chance of getting to the Premiership, if Cardiff City did, how well would they do. I am mindful of the fact that Blackpool went up last year and are battling to stay there. With the 19 teams (yet to be decided) being the opposition, is Cardiff or will they be good enough to be above at least three, at the end of next season. I appreciate they will buy players but any views on just the present squad!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to think we could stay up the first season then push on and hopefully do a Stoke or a Bolton (playing more attractive football, of course) as we are the same size club, if not bigger, than both of those. We need a manager who knows his way around the Premiership and who better to keep us up than Dave Jones. He seems to be ok at doing that

I would say this, Wolves has some very good quality players in there squad, and even they have only just got out of the bottom 3. With the players we got now and no new players brought into our team our chances are not very good at all.
The one thing that bothers me is, that last time Dave Jones took a club up Wolves it was in the play offs.
They come right back down, he said, quote the best way to go up is Auto, top spot, the next thing is in the Play offs ,but now so good if you finish 2nd there. Also you cant bring in players till you know where you are. By the time the play offs are over most of the quality players have been picked up, you can get some bargains some times, but I would say the best have gone.
