For making this team an consitant top 6 club
When he first took over, we was nobody, we wasnt feared by no one, we was the Barnsley's and the Doncaster's of today.
Now we are a force to be reconed with, a team that every one in this division fear and a team which is now classed as a BIG CLUB.
Can i just reiterate one thing .. If Dave Jones fails this year, did he fail as a manager of Cardiff City?
Many would say yes, but i tend to disagree, last year he done us proud by achieving what we did. Gyepes, Rae, Wildig, Ethuhu, Matthews were all played last year, and where are they now?
What he has achieved cannot be unnoticed.
But many will say. "YES BUT DJ HAS HAD THE BEST SQUAD THAT HE HAS EVER HAD!"
but .. look at Chelsea's team.. is Anchalotti a poor manager becasuse they didnt win the title after nearlly 100m of investment this year?
look at Arsenal .. is Wenger a poor manager just because they didnt win the title?
is Harry Redknapp a poor manager because he couldnt get Tottenham in the top 4 this year?
You can have all the resources you want, but sometimes with these "BEST SQUADS!" it doesnt always work, Even though Chelsea bought, Yossi, Ramieres, Torres, Luiz .. you would think that they would win the division hands down?
It does to me, but Anchalotti is a fantastic manager who has failed. But just by him failing doesnt mean he's a poor manager.
If Cardiff fail this year, DJ should get credit from making Cardiff City a consistant mid table team, to an consistant Top 6 team.
With his progression over the last 6 years, he has certainally helped the club for the long term. You have to agree on that?
