can't fault their passion, commitment and level of support, But I am just amazed how they can raise themselves up year in year out for what is just another Groundhog day. :o

What I can't understand is the crap we have on here about it. I couldn't a flying f**k who wins the Scottish League, the Italian League, the Spanish League or the Six Fingered Worzel Sunday morning family entertainment half hour. Its about as interesting as Family Fortunes, Big Bother, Eurovision piss taking contest and Simon Cowell's kareoke competitions. Should the worst happen, no not another labour government but on a par, that Cardiff and the jerks are requied to play in a Welsh League it will be exactly the same. One or other would win it every year, every now and again another team with some financial backing would win but the backer would soon bugger off when 35 fans turn up for the Europa qualifying game.

I have a quite a few Scottish friends largely through work who support the likes of Motherwell, Hearts, Hibs (thats quite a good one  ), Kilmarnock and other not so "well known" teams. I can't be arsed to look it up but I would place a sizeable bet that the history of the top team in Scotland goes something like Celtic, Rangers, Celtic, Celtic, Celtic, Rangers, Rangers, Aberdeen, C, C, r, R, R, C, C, Cowdenbeath, etc, etc, etc

lot of leagues are like that, but take your point it is killing game up here, aberdeen dominated in the 80s but will never happen again in my life time again unless serious investment, got some great memories, sad thing is it would not take much money spend as even the old firm die hards would admit that there teams are not great shakes. personally i would love to see old firm to join some atlantic league, and the rest of us will prosper, they will never get in the premiership thats for sure.

Weall know Clydebank are the only team in Scotland anyway 8-)

The top level Scottish game is dead unless the Old FIrm GTF and do us all a favour. The days of Aberdeen and Dundee United running the game up here are long gone, sadly. No-one will invest in these clubs to compete with the OF because it isn't worth it, and they wouldn't pull the crowds to match their ambition. Think it was 1990-91 when Aberdeen took it to the final day, the last time any team had a chance of pipping the Glasgow fuds.

Man Ure and Chelski have NOT won every league title in the last 22 years though.

So by that fact alone, the Premiershit is more competitive than the SPL.

FTOF.

Yeah, but in theory all the winners have done what the old firm have done and bought the title, knowing that very few of their opponents can match the spending power. Now that Arsenal and Blackburn don't splash the cash - they can't compete. Some make a false challenge and others like Blackburn go back to where they came from.
