I think Gibbo said it well down in Pandy. You can't take it as an abstract thing. You've got to consider his history and the wya the press treated him in the past with regards to the child abuse allegations. of course he's going to be cagey and take offence at someone who is basically trying to get him out of a job.
You get annoyed enough when I criticise you and I don't do it half as much as Tucker does to DJ

yesh but imagine how pissed off you'd get if someone used the national media to pursue an agenda against you. regardless of how much you're paid. Once your reputation goes, thats it!

DJ is in the Public eye and you know when you take a managers job on, your going to get your critics, no matter what.

Brilliant interview? Full of passion spot on as well.
Maybe I'm giving DJ to much credit here but maybe just maybe he had learnt a trick or two of sir Alex. Diversion, take the pressure off the players. Get fans talking about him and his rant rather than slagging off the players.

Nigel Harris
Dave Jones - "we don't care about him", "he's nothing to us", "we don't take any notice of him".
Good, right attitude if that's how he feels but, problem is, he can't stop himself.
If he believed in all those things, WTF did he bring it up fo...

After watching that properly i have nothing but praise for that interview......He keeps using the words "us" and "we" and how tucker is criticising players and all DJ is doing is sticking up for his staff and the club he's running.....can he not get at least some credit for once!

by the same token do you think dj's obvious aversion to using youth players stems from his previous bad experience.
if so he is in the wrong job on both counts

He didn't play youths at Wolves et al. Stockport may have had no other choice. He's always preferred the more experienced players.

the first thing sam said when we signed dj was that he does not like or use young players which went against sam and steve borleys vision of youth for the clubs future.

I hear this tucker guy on a phone in also, and he did nothing but run the club down, after that he said O don't get me wrong I like Cardiff. The guy is a prick, I know DJ use to try to reply to his question with fair reply's , but when someone is getting at everything you do or say ,even when your team is right up there with other , it do start to get on your back. I never understand how people can write about things if they have never really done it there self's. I myself years ago was ask to sign form for Bristol Rovers. I could have also play Rugby for Newport, and this is the first time I ever said anything about it.still don't give me the write as a journalist to write about it. I know nothing at all about the running of a Professional football club, and tucker don't also.
But it do piss you off ,when some guy that cant even keep himself looking clean and looking like he has just spent a week on a farm, as a part time scarecrow, (I say part time, as I don't think he would get a Job doing it full time, as most scarecrow look half decent.) Then he try to tell a pro like DJ ,how to run a club when he cant even run a tap and have a shave.
I guess it true what many professionals say, , Them that can do it , Do it! Them that cant try to write about it!

I personally feel good job by DJ. The pressure on the players, especially after the playoffs last year is huge, so why not take a load of pressure off them, DJ can handle having some of it himself.Lets just have a show of thanks off the boys Tuesday night now

So Jones has been taking the pressure off the boys every single time he's taken a pop at the local media?
Took the pressure off when he kept blasting Gilo?
if you believe Jones is doing this as a selfless effort to help the players rather than getting snide digs in... would you like to buy the Tower Of London off me?
