Is nil nil that good an away result? Are there away goals?

In Europe teams are sometimes happy with a nil nil at home. It means if they score away they can win on away goals. Can we confirm there are no away goals in the play offs? It seems to change yearly.
Last year there wasn't obviously else we would have gone out but I am sure I read that it is changing this year.

I would hate going 1 down thinking we need 2 goals. 6 times out of a thousand with DJ ain't it?

think about last year, we lost 3-2 at home to leciester, thats 3 away goals, and we still went through
