Last night Dave jones in an Interview said that Steve Tucker is doing his best to get him out.I wish he would tell me that to my face , cos I would tell him. But its ok I will go home and not even give him a thought.
I myself had many thought how negative Tucker has been, and If the truth be told , I have hear him slag of Cardiff and Wales.
If there is one thing I will NO WAY stand for ,is someone that slags of Wales or Cardiff or anything Welsh.
I think the guy is a Prick, and I would be more than happy to tell the guy to one of his many faces.

Anyway Dave Jones , dont give a shit for him and thats the way its should be, Them that can do the job, them that cant write about it !
Dave also said the players would be into day at 11.30 and they will take a look at any players that may have picked up and knocks from last night. He again said ,there is no problem with players the dressing room is full of confidence and he thought the fans again last night were Brilliant and have been all season, and would like to thank them,again for there AMAZING SUPPORT <----------------His words !

The problem with Tucker is that he believes and prints the tittle tattal from here & other MBs before getting facts.

People can agree / disagree with journos all they like. Tucker is employed to write mostly opinion pieces, which by definition are to provoke discussion.

Jones on the other hand simply dislikes ANY criticism, valid or not, of any and everything he does.

Ferguson acts like a cock to the media - in what is admittedly a very poor defence of that behaviour, you can argue he's been successful enough to do so.

The team and where it stands now speaks for its self, Dave Jones has put life back into Cardiff City , as much as people want to knock him. Ask any other manager or fans of another team if they would like to be where we are now on the kind of money Dave has done it on. How many people nationally know who Steve Tucker is?
How many people nationally read the stuff Tucker writes?
How many people nationally were watching that interview?
How many of those people will think Jones comes across as a paranoid delusional, looking to get digs in at the local media rather than focusing on the job at hand?

if Jones doesn't like what Tucker writes, simply put, ignore it. Be graceful. Nope, instead DJ has to throw his toys out of the pram at every opportunity.

I mean, ffs, given fans have rightly blasted his love affair with Naylor the early part of the season - goals attributable to Naylor mistakes more than covering the gap to Norwich - what will DJ say if we lose to Reading? "When have the fans ever played? Fans know nothing? They should have a shit journey home?"

His behaviour at best is massively unprofessional and indicates his mind isn't 100% on the job. At worst, it makes him look like nothing more than a bully who loves the media only when they want to give him blowjobs...

If they actually got down to some real journalism then I'd perhaps be willing to back up what they do.

But until they do that I can only back Jones' reluctance to talk to them -because with inept journalism there's always a worry that whatever you say could be taken out of context. It's not worth the risk.

Define real journalism.

If for example, they did some real journalism - for example, an in depth investigation into the drinking culture at the club - do you think Jones would laud them for being good journalists - or slate them for being "negative"?

Does Jones' view apply to the tabloid media on a national basis - including the owners of the WM and Echo? Or is it only applicable to specific journos, who for some strange reason that exists solely in the head of Dave Jones, have wanted him out from day one?

Tucker is a City fan, his job has impaired his enjoyment of football and altered his focus, full stop.

Tucker is awful, his own ego takes over his poor writing skills.

I'm with Nerd on this one. No one on this board defends Dave Jones more than I do. However his dealing with the press couldn't be any worse. Simply by whinging about him DJ has made Steve Tucker famous in these parts. Winding up the local press seems to have been a priority of DJ.

Steve is very honest though, and he has actually stood on the Bob Bank unlike many who have just claimed they have. Dave Jones got himself in to a battle with him a long time ago and he really didn't need to. You have to ask why does Dave get so upset with articles that he claims he never reads?

At the end of the day DJ's job is managing a football team rather than battling with the media. Even the Barca manager gets bad press sometimes but he just carries on managing his team rather than turning his attentions to a Spanish version of Steve Tucker.
