Poor display by all in midfield tonight.

Luckily Reading were as bad.

I would have brought Koumas on instead of Chopra and boosted the numbers in midfield but that's just me and I think Chopra is a fat unprofessional 'tard at the moment. Really hope he proves me wrong.

Apart from when ramsey was here we havn,t had a decent midfield for about 8 years!!!

We've not had a midfield all season...except when we play 5 in there. In the 2nd leg I''d go with Bothroyd as a lone striker with: ......... Koumas
Whitts ....... McPhail ......... Burke
............. Olofinjana

I said this before and got slated for it

its awful, we dont get stuck inn, follow up passes and look interested half the time

We haven't really had a midfield since Kavanagh left. Even when Ramsey was here he was doing four men's jobs!

all i will say is our midfield cant have been that bad if we pretty much controlled a game against a team in form away from home, they created nothing

Just beat me to it Milly, not at there best but covered the defence very well and i think creates the better chances although minimally.

Whitts is NOT a central midfielder and weakens the central pairing in a 4 man midfield.

I would like to see Darcy Blake being that extra man in the midfield if our backs are against the wall.
