I know that over the course of the season a lot of footballers, including some at Cardiff, have used the fitness dvds, Insanity and P90X. ive just come back from America and pro athletes over there swear by these programs so i decided to give one of them a go, starting wth P90X. Has any one ever used them? What were the results?

I only watched the Insanity one all the way through, but I didn't hear them mention diet anywhere? The workouts look good, but if you're eating shit, you're not going to lose weight.

Go for daily runs to build your fitness. Dont go on a crash diet and take enjoyment out of what you're eating. Just do little things like have an apple instead of a Chocolate bar and a glass of water instead of Coke. That way you eat healthier and lose weight without realising. Just do crunches, Pull ups, Push ups and if you want to get a set of dumbbells and do stuff with them every couple of days. Hardly have to spend a penny and you do it at your own pace and enjoyment!

I've plateud with regards running, and you're only supposed to do 'fartlek' every 2 days at best, so for me that 'insanity' programme would be amazing. I think I will actually buy it, it's only 40ish.
