Friday's Game from a Reading fan

I am a Reading fan and have been reading various posts on this forum regarding Friday's game for obvious reasons.

Lol to all the people that think you will walk all over us in the 2 games

You keep going on about Cardiff only losing 1 game in the last 9 or something, how about us? We are the top team in the form table over the last 17 games, and I believe we came second behind Norwich (the team that beat you to 2nd place) over the last 28 games??!!

Don't get me wrong, you are a very good team but please give credit where it is due - meaning taking us seriously!

We will know this time next week who has made it to Wembley to play in that game that winner takes all.

Alright fella, I think it's a bit one-eyed of you to think we all expect us to walk all over you.

I don't think more than 5% of the posts on here have mentioned us doing that actually.

And indeed your right, you had a cracking run of form at the end of the season, as did we, as did Norwich. We're all fairly evenly matched and only one place apart in the league table for a reason y'know. Because we're all very closely matched sides.

Look at us and Leicester last year - penalties. You can't get closer than that. Us and Blackpool - one goal in it.

I take Reading very seriously (quite enjoyed reading Nick Hornby's Fever Pitch and Oscar Wilde's Picture of Dorian Gray recently)



But joking aside, we all know what the likes of McAnuff, Church, Kebe and Long can do. I don't think anyone here is disrespecting you as such (anyone with a brain wouldn't, at least), but I think you should also pay us due respect in being realistic. I think this post was made by you because you're hoping we're being complacent, more than anything. Because there's no evidence to back that up.

I trust you'll enjoy the games, but I can't bid you good luck.

I havent seen anyone suggesting it will be a walk over and if they have its very naive of them.
Its going to be a hell of a battle but I have faith that over two games we can beat anyone in this division

i think you'll find that the majority of city fans are negative and dont have a good feeling about the playoffs because of past dissapointments

i for one am taking it very seriously and think if we can stop kebe then we have a great chance, i have a lot of respect for reading fc and like the way you play, BM has done a great job but im hoping this is our time

No one is being as brazen to say we'll walk over you quite the contrary.

As for form tables I'm ignoring them too far more pressure on the next 2 games for both sides.
The team that will prevail will be the ones who cope with the pressure the most. We've just got a little more experience in our favor which may be the edge, or our downfall.

One things for sure only one team will make the final and we all hope its ours!!!

saying we wanted to finish 4th with a little chuckle....he cracks a small joke and his quote is used against him.
He was asked about Swansea being above us, what should he have said? praised them? that would have went down well as well.

No wonder he acts so miserable all the time if this is how people act when he does joke. Shame as when he first came here he was a very funny guy, dry but funny who enjoyed a laugh, feels like thats been drained out of him but petty fans picking up on his every word and using it againt him.

Will be a tight contest but no-one thinks itll be a walk over , if cardiff play to our max then we shud have the fire power , wont wish you good luck obviously but welcome to our site

Any team to have players like..Shane long..kebe hunt would never be a walk over we all respect how well you've done to get into this place you walked over teams showed them you are serious about it so full credit..but come on city!!

Possibly, but we've had six already this season in these fixtures and we could very well be back in "we'll score more than you" mode.
