If "Our Present Manager" Has Sold His Gaff

Tue May 10, 2011 7:28 pm

...then let's all give him our backing....cos he's probably going at the end of our campaign.

I'd say we'd all like him to finish as a winner :ayatollah:

i think its gone beyond that now as there was major anger and dissapointment over the preperations between preston and boro.
The owners wanted a third place finish so that they could legally challenge the qpr verdict and he let them down with that and then makes a remark about wanting to finish fourth to avoid forest.
what annoys me most is that you have people saying we are chokers and the phrase dont do a cardiff is getting ever more popular.
the real answer is that the manager is a choker and has a history of failing at the last hurdle with this club and others.
lets hope he produces the goods in the next three games so that himself and our club can ditch the choker label attached to us

If we manage to get promoted then sack DJ we will be the biggest laughing stock in the premier league! If he does what he said start of season and gets us promoted then he at least deserves a crack at the prem with us, im not his biggest fan but he would at least deserve that much

I disagree, he is not a prem standard manager.

Obviously the same can be said for a few of our players too and will not play in the prem with us even if we did get promotion via the play-offs.

He would deserve a chance though, if he isnt up to it he would be found out very very quickly!! Im sure just because his persona isnt great they let that cloud their viewpoint.

people have many different opinions on DJ from this season (so far) and previous seasons, but i think it would be unfair for us to get rid of him if we gained promotion this season. we would have to give him a crack at the premier league even if it is a few games.

It may sound ludicrous but if by a miracle we do go up I would say thanks very much Jones and then hand him his P45 along with half of the squad! The fact is that he is nowhere near good enough for the premier league and neither are half the players! We need to stop being so sentimental and ensure we have the best chance possible of being a success in the premier league and we would never be with Jones!!! There are some good managers available this summer such as O'Neill, Allardyce and Walter Smith, lets snap one of them up whilst we have the chance!!! Most of the fans are tired of Jones now and I believe he is tired of us, a fresh start is what we all need!!

We are Cardiff City........

Martin 'O' Neill, no chance, will only go to a club with money, thats the reason he left villa and he has no intrest in youth

Walter Smith, remind me again why he is leaving rangers.....he's retiring!!

Sam Allardyce, possibly, we would play really shit football and some of the fans would find this unacceptable.

We don't know DJ wouldn't cut it at premier level and no manager would ever come near us if we were to sack a manager who got us promoted without even giving him a chance!

Walter Smith is not retiring. He has said he might work elsewhere.

Walter Smith has said he is not retiring and he is looking for a new club!!! Despit what you think i know Oneill is a possibility, even if i is far fecthed (as was Bellamy last summer) and Sam Allardyce would certainly consider us, and is a huge improvement on DJ!!!

i don't think allerdyce would be the best manager for flowing attacking football but i would have confidence in him achieving premiership status. he is a no nonsense manager, i think he would do a good job down here. :ayatollah:
martin o'neil is a big shout and he would do a great job but would he consider us? possibly if he was given the funds.

The only 2 I'd have are Warnock and Hughton.

They wear tracksuits and are one of the lads. That's what we need, a great man manager.

I'm sick of these managers who just wear suits and think they're this and that and something special like Arsene Whinger and Ancelotti and Benitez and O'Niell < be one of the lads, get your trackie on and make the lads feel more at ease where they feel comfortable and can play good football.

Is that a fact or just the sound of a few 'well raised' voices??

Well, if you're intimating most City fans embrace mediocrity...

... then that would of course be wrong, as only around 3000 of our fans at best embrace mediocirty, when were amongst it back in the 90's.

Nothing Jones has done at this club has been even close to mediocre.

Since when was a play off to get in to the top flight of English football mediocre? Since when was a final in the biggest club competition in the world mediocre?
