Dave Jones has today outlined the belief and focus within the camp ahead of the excitement of two vital play-off games against Reading.

It's all set to start this Friday at the Madejski Stadium, followed by the second leg at Cardiff City Stadium next Tuesday night. And for the Cardiff City boss, the promotion dream is still very much on the agenda and there to be claimed.

"We still have a great chance to get promoted and I believe that we have what it takes to make the most of the opportunity, Dave said on Tuesday. "We have firmly put the season behind us and as a club we are totally focused on the game against Reading on Friday night.



"We know what we have to do and the squad holds no fear going to Reading. In fact, we're all really looking forward to the next two games and are very confident in what we can achieve. We'll go there in the right frame of mind knowing that over two legs we have a great chance if we play to our strengths, of which we have many.

"The players, staff and everybody at the club are working hard to achieve our promotion goals. The support from our supporters has been superb this season and the atmosphere at our home and away has been magnificent. We all appreciate the lengths and costs our supporters go to and want to reward that the best way possible.

"Last year we came close having reached the final, but that's history now. To the present we are focused, more than ever. I'm sure that our supporters will do what they've done all season, by getting behind the team in big numbers and making lots of noise for the team which makes a big difference. Cardiff City Stadium being full for the second leg is something we're all looking forward to seeing, but for now the focus is firmly on Friday night.

"Our job is to join together for one last push to get past that final hurdle of the play-offs and I have every confidence that we can do just that to deliver the dream."

I sincerely hope so.

The players now need to realise that there are no second chances.

It's a case of now or never for certain individuals in this squad.

Most of the players will still have the same bitter taste in their mouths about the play-off final last season.

I think the major difference between 12 months ago and now, is that we have a certain Mr Bellamy on hand
who I am sure, will endeavour to ensure that certain players pull their weight over the next 180 (hopefully 270)
minutes of football.

We can do it with out doubt, if some of the players can get their heads together.

If they all wanted it is much as we do there wouldn't be a problem.

Statistically speaking, you are correct.
But lets not get gloomy if Reading score first on friday. We have come from behind and won this season, we are capable even if we don't do it a lot.

Having looked at the black American Football coach, via 'UTube' giving a positive team talk to his players,(see previous message on team talks) which was brilliantly positive, and then reading 'Dave Jones very positive' message, caused me to consider that Dave Jones misses the point on being positive, because he states 'we have many strengths, if we play to them, and we have many' gives the impression of doubt which is not what the team needs!!! The word 'if' should not be in his vocabulary.

Just more spin from numbnuts as far I'm concerned and you can put it with the rest of his bullshit from this season.

Saying nothing has been decided today after we lost at home to the jacks has been proved wrong as we finished below them, there is still plenty of football to play everytime the team put in a poor performance has come back to haunt us you could just list them one after another.

Dave needs to get his defence strategy right this time. We've got to have somebody protecting the back four as we concede far to easily. 6 goals last time. Not acceptable. Lennie is mentioned further down the board, 3 clean sheets his team achieved.

it's good to see that DJ appreciates our fantastic support home and away, but actually showing their appreciation when the final whistle goes would be nice.
