O/T - Who's ducking who?

Tue May 10, 2011 2:31 pm

The facts.

Pacquiao initially declined random drug testing
Pacquiao later accepted 7 day drug testing
Pacquiao's camp set a deadline for Floyd to accept by
Floyds camp waited for the deadline to pass and then made a statement saying that he has personal issues to deal with
Floyd Mayweathers camp then came out and said negotiations never happened.
Ross Greenburg who was acting as the middle man then came out and said negotiations did take place.

Pacquiao has achieved more in his career than Floyd. Floyd needs the fight more to cement his legacy as a boxing great.

Pacquiao has never ducked a fight before. Floyd has ducked both Cotto and Margarito with tonnes of excuses. He should have fought either one of them after he beat Gatti but instead went on to fight Mitchell.

Floyd is now in September fighting Victor Ortiz - Ortiz lost to Maidana and Maidana lost to Khan - is this some sort of joke or is this another way for Floyd to duck Pacquiao? Both Cotto and Sergio Martinez wanted to fight Floyd yet he's avoided them.

Mayweather is too arrogant to turn an opponent down. His ego alone wants this Pacquiao fight. I think Pacquiao knows he can be better so is waiting for the right time to get involved with this fight.

Mayweather is fighting Ortiz in September.. Why not call out Pacquiao after Pacquiao beat Mosley easily? Pacquiao did a better job on Mosley than Mayweather did.

Mayweather's ego is what is protecting his 0 record in my opinion. He's holding out in my opinion for a massive final pay day to sort out his tax issues. The longer he holds out the more people will want to see it and when it does happen he can expect to see the cash come in rapidly.

Hes a businessman, not a true lover of the sport. He's even said money is what matters most to him.

This is one fight I really want to see and IMO Is to close to call either way. But who is ducking who to be honest I didn't vote as nobody knows. But what I can see happening is this fight will happen but when both are past there best and then they can then shove it up there Arses. This fight would be the biggest grossing fight in history and IMO it needs to happen in the next two years max.

Bit of both I think. More so on Mayweathers side. He can't exactly fight(well, train to fight) someone of Mannys calibre with what's going on right now.

Also think Manny has had too many distractions which, while beating Moseley comfortably, do seem to have had an effect on his performances.

He will want to be at his best, with NO distractions so that he can smash "pretty boy"
