There are battlers like Craig Bellamy, Dekel Keinan and Kevin McNaughton but you are correct that we are lightweight in midfield.

McPhail is absolutely useless and a battling attitude is one of several attributes that tosser is missing and the same can be said of Whittingham and Burke to some extent. Oli is the only real midfield battler but when he has an off day like yesterday the chickens really come home to roost.

I agree we are desperate for a hard as nails man in the middle, who puts himself about.

id have to put quinny and a rejuvenated mark hudson in the battlers category .I agree with the points taht mcphail is not far from finished unfortunately and if oli as an off day we are screwed,hopefully it will get sorted next season whatever division we are in
