NOTTINGHAM FOREST-was many peoples dead certs for autos and maybe even champions after beating us with a cracking squad and superb home record,they them proceeded to press the self destruct button in fantastic fashion,getting thrashed by leeds utd,failing to beat the likes of preston and millwall,losing their precious home record to average hull city and also losing to reading,norwich,swansea and sheffield utd,If that was cardiff dave jones would have been personally strung up by many on this forum
READING-after going on an outstanding 8 game winning streak they were many peoples favourites for the autos with the seemingly easier run in.However a poor perforamce against an out of form leeds utd then a disastorous home defeat against relegated sheffield united despite being 2-0 up put paid to their hopes.If thats not bottling it then what is ? it didnt seem to matter that brian mcdermott did a lap ofhonour and embraced the fans at forest they had blown it
SWANSEA- have looked outstanding at times especilly at home brushing aside promotion rivals leeds,norwich and forest.not turning up away cost them big time with defeats against lowly opposition in derby,preston and scunthorpe.its ok to look great at home but surely you need to perform on the road to get to the premiership
CARDIFF CITY-were the form team in april,if we were bottlers we would have not beaten preston,sheffield united and Portsmouth.The game yesterday was disastorous we didnt turn up and underestimated a team who seemingly had nothing to play for.However we are in the playoffs we have the most away wins in the league ,we have great players and have shown WE DO HAVE BOTTLE.Our managerjhas a style and personality that leaves passionate supporters cold and pissed off at times,i can totally see this but he hasnt had unlimited resources,bellamy wanted to come here and fair play to him,the likes of wittingham,bothroyd,mcnaughton,quinn,burke and keinan were plucked from relative obscurity by dave jones,he desreves credit for getting a team that was so close to administartion at the start of the season into a position to claim promotion
